Our topic is the preparation of the Church for the rapture. In the biblical Book of Revelation 3:11 we read: “Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.” What do these words mean?
They mean that our faith will be subjected to many temptations, especially in the time of waiting for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus warns: “I am coming: hold fast what you have.” We must take care not to lose our faith, not to turn away from God, and to remain faithful.
Let us read 2 Cor. 11:2: for I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. The Apostle Paul is concerned here about how the Church will appear before the Lord. He speaks of the meeting of the Bride-Church with Christ and exclaims: “I am jealous for you with godly jealousy.” Why is he so concerned? Because there is a real and great danger: the enemy especially attacks the Church in our time, aiming to lead her away from Christ through deceit, or to lead the bride into sin and defile her with every impurity. We, however, must be zealous for a holy and faithful Church, as it is said in the Gospel of Matthew 25:13: “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.” The Church is called to watchfulness, because she does not know when her Master will come.
The Bible says: “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition” — 2 Thess. 2:3. This is a very serious passage of Scripture speaking about apostasy. What does Scripture mean by this word? If, for example, a member of the Church leaves the congregation and begins to live in sin, is that apostasy? No. That is simply separating oneself from the Church. But when the Bible speaks of apostasy, it means that a person remains religious and even labors, but falls away from the true faith into false teachings. It is written about this in 1 Tim. 4:1: “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.” This is apostasy. A person departs from sound faith, continuing their religious life on the basis of false teachings, and labors to draw others to it, actually defending heresies. And I think the enemy is sowing temptations precisely in this area, conquering Christianity. Today there is a massive falling away into false teachings, and such people are more numerous than those who simply leave the assembly and live in sin. If we observe people who leave the Church, we will find that very often they go where the Bible is not preached.
In the Gospel of Matthew 24:24 it says: “For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” For many years the enemy tried to make people atheists. But if a person is an atheist, he will not worship a false christ either. The devil’s goal in our time—and this must be absolutely clear to us—is to lead people to worship the Antichrist. Therefore, the enemy is working today in this direction—so that people remain religious, but not in the biblical faith.
Once we went to the zoo in the city of Curitiba and met three unusual people there. In the middle walked a tall man with a long beard and long hair. He was dressed all in white, with sandals on his feet. And his so-called disciples walked beside him. They were dressed in green robes and accompanied him. I recognized the tall man immediately, as I had met him twice before. This man calls himself “Jesus Christ.” He says that he has returned to earth to restore the Kingdom of God. I had spoken about him in some churches, and some doubted whether it was true. I happened to have a camera with me, and I asked: — May I take a picture of you? — Yes, gladly — he replied. Then I said: — Step back a little, away from the sun, so the photo turns out well. — No! My Father in heaven said that I can only go forward, not backward. — Well, fine, step forward a little. And I took the picture. He asked: — Which Church are you from? I said: — That is surprising: you say you are Jesus Christ, yet you do not know which Church I am from. Jesus knew everything! He began to get nervous, and I asked him a few more questions, after which he said: — I have no right to be angry, and I dismiss you with my peace. And I answered him: — I do not need the peace of the Antichrist; I have the peace of the true Savior—Christ. He became very angry and left. This was a false christ, and he is not alone; there are many of them in Brazil. And this is what the Bible speaks of: there will be false christs and false prophets who will lead not only into sins, but also onto the wrong path, in order to later worship the Antichrist.
In 2 Thess. 2:4 we further read: “…who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” This Antichrist will sit in the temple and demand to be worshiped as God. And this is the reason why, in the last time, people leaving the Church are going to other movements. The enemy does not want them to simply become unbelievers, but wants to prepare them to worship the Antichrist as God.
In Rev. 13:12-13 it says: “And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.” The second beast—the false prophet—creates a worldwide church that will lead people to worship the Antichrist. The only possibility for the Antichrist to be acknowledged as God is through the path of the Church. Therefore, today a completely conscious work is being carried out to seduce the Church onto the path of apostasy from the truth, so that its religious life would be such that people would be ready to pray to this Antichrist as God.
In Revelation 17:1-5 a “woman sitting on a scarlet beast” is shown. This is the universal church, which Scripture calls “the great harlot.” And today in the world this movement is observed, striving to bring all confessions to worship the false christ. This movement over the last 20 years has been operating under a special name: “New Age” — “New Era,” “New Thinking.” And this society is doing a great work in terms of preparing the whole earth for the coming of the Antichrist, and the Church—for worship. And I share this information with one purpose: to warn! For many of the Churches, unfortunately, have already fallen, not knowing the goals and plans of this movement. I consider myself obligated to explain what is happening in this area and to safeguard you, as brothers and sisters, my friends.
This movement, which has the goal of creating a world government, has especially intensified in the last 20 years. Albert Pike, who was one of its many founders, said: “If we achieve world domination, we will destroy both Christianity and atheism. Then the world will be ready to accept the ‘pure’ teaching of Lucifer and worship him in the purity of his teaching.” Others among them preach the same thing.
Representatives of the “New Age” (or “New Thinking”) have introduced various signs by which they recognize their own people and their work in society. A rainbow is especially often depicted, but not the whole rainbow, only half of it, up to the clouds. One end of it leans into the heavens, the other onto the heads of people symbolizing society. The rainbow means that they are coming into contact with the cosmic world. Thanks to the rainbow, they are sometimes called the “rainbow society.” I am sure that if you pay attention, you will find similar things in your own city.
To explain the sequence of the path, the movement’s representatives use sketches: caterpillar–cocoon–moth. This symbol is interpreted as follows: humanity lived in the caterpillar stage, crawling on the earth and having no concept of higher spheres. But this caterpillar is currently in the cocoon stage, where it will die, and a moth will emerge from it. Thus, that better, perfect society that will arise on earth is being organized. The caterpillar, they say, signifies modern religions, and especially traditional Christianity. The “New Age” fights against true Churches because they are an obstacle to world domination.
The traditional family also serves as an obstacle for them. It must also be destroyed and a new family created, where people will not say, “this is my wife” or “my husband.” Everyone should have relations with anyone, and therefore the biblical family must no longer exist.
They say that the world economy must also be restructured: it should not be that every person earns money as they wish; but everyone must submit to a common order, receiving a number and a card. And only when he accepts the number will he be able to buy and sell. In short, they want to bring everything under total control.
Alice Bailey, commenting on the words of Jesus from the Gospel of John 10:16, says the following: “Christ said: I have other flocks… and there will be one flock and one Shepherd.” Did you notice the substitution of the word? Jesus actually said: “And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.” But they assert: Muslims are one flock of Christ, Buddhists are another, Jews are a third, Christians are a fourth. All are His flocks, and they must be united into one flock—only then can the real Christ come. Jesus is not the Christ; the actual Christ is the one who is to come and establish dominion over the world. They call him Maitreya. In their brochures, they directly write that this will be a man who, by the power of Lucifer, will rule over the whole world. And as sad as it is, many modern Churches have already fallen under the influence of the “New Age” movement.
In this society’s program, there are three main points on how to lead the Church into apostasy:
- the destruction of traditional Christianity;
- the destruction of Christian music;
- the persecution of Jews, anti-Semitism.
First of all, the “New Age” desires to destroy the biblical faith and distort the Bible. Therefore, its representatives assault Christian congregations that believe in the divine inspiration of the Bible and firmly adhere to its teaching. The worshipers of Maitreya try not to destroy the Bible outright, but they corrupt its translations. I think you have already noticed how many translations of the Bible there are. Recently, Bratcher made a translation of the Bible, calling it the “Bible in Contemporary Language.” In it, Jesus is not the Son of God and was not born of a Virgin. Bratcher considers it a rejection of God to assert that Jesus is the Son of God. He changed many passages of Scripture, and in the New Testament he altered the texts seven times where it speaks of forgiveness through the Blood of Christ. He replaced the word “blood” with another, because he did not believe that in the Blood of Christ we have salvation. And such Bibles are being distributed today.
The second point of the “New Age” society’s program is the goal of destroying all Christian music and creating new music. And the success achieved in this area is astonishing: today so-called “Christian” rock music has already appeared. What a shame when such music sounds in the Church! They devised a method of pushing people away from the Church through music: demonic chords are mixed into the lyrics of songs, and as a result, the gospel message is accompanied by wild, repulsive music. In this way, a dissonance is artificially created between the message and the sounds with the intent of destroying the Churches. Therefore, we must be especially careful not to infect our congregations with demonic music.
Recently, I was at a large conference where more than 1,200 people from different denominations were present. When the music started, the youth suddenly began to dance. After that, there was a sermon. Here is an example of the influence of the “New Age”! They encourage unification, but not on the basis of truth. At one of the recent World Congresses of Churches, besides Christians, representatives of Islam, Buddhists, Muslims, and Hindus were present. An Indian dancer was invited, who danced for them in honor of her god. What a blasphemy: the so-called Christian World Congress invites a pagan woman to entertain them with dances! One of the congress leaders said in conclusion: “I hope you received satisfaction and new life at this gathering.” And this—through the performances of Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, and others! This is not a Christian, but a satanic way of life. And here is why: the sign that the dancer held in her hand during the dances means: the rays of Lucifer pierce her body and impart to her the strength for the dance she danced in honor of her god Lucifer (?!)
In many Churches in the USA and Canada today, it is openly preached that Maitreya, to whom the “New Age” society prays, is the true Christ. In one Methodist congregation, the pastor said: “If you yourself meet this man, you will be convinced that he truly is god.” This is the kind of absurdity that seduced evangelical Churches are reaching today, acknowledging a man as God.
One of the organizations that spreads the ideas of the “New Age” is called “Lucis Trust.” Initially, it was called “Lucifer Trust,” which literally means: to trust Lucifer. But then they renamed themselves so as not to frighten people away with the name. This society is very closely connected with the activities of the “New Age,” promoting its views into the Church. In one of the magazines, the names of their collaborators were published. Among them, I discovered the National Council of Churches of the USA and the World Council of Churches (WCC). They are not ordinary members, but have already reached certain grades of membership: 1st grade—Citizen of the World, 2nd grade—Collaborator, and so on. They labor in this Luciferian society as collaborators of the Antichrist. What a time we are living in today! And, unfortunately, many of the laborers in Christian fields, due to their unawareness, are being caught in these cunningly laid nets. Thus, they involuntarily become part of the world harlot who will worship the Antichrist.
In the “New Age” program, various methods have been developed on how to achieve their goal. One of them is unification on the basis of charismania. Participants of the movement say that faith divides, but experience unites. If we unite on the basis of faith, disagreements are inevitable. Therefore, let us put questions of faith aside and unite on the basis of experience. If we share common inner experiences, we will very quickly find common ground. Therefore, charismatic experiences have spread widely in the world today, penetrating without exception into all confessions. One can now hear Buddhists speaking in tongues, prophesying, or casting out demons, performing “miracles.” The same can be seen among Muslims and among Jews…
And we should not be surprised at this, for it is predicted in the Bible (Matt. 7:22-23): “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”
I know there are different interpretations regarding the last time, especially concerning the Church of Christ. Some believe that the Church will go through the Great Tribulation, others that it will go through a part of the tribulation, and still others that the Church will not experience the tribulation at all, but will escape it. Based on the Biblical Book of Daniel 8:26-27, it is generally believed that the great tribulation will last seven years. But if you read the 13th chapter of the book of Revelation, it indicates that the actual dominion of the Antichrist will last only 3.5 years, or 42 months. The prophet Daniel in chapter 9 shows that this time will be divided into two periods, each lasting 3.5 years. And in 2 Thess. 2, it says that for a certain time the work of apostasy will be ongoing, but the “man of sin” (the Antichrist) will not yet be known. If we put all these Scripture passages together, a picture emerges: the Antichrist will rule the world for 3.5 years, and the work of apostasy will be carried out for exactly the same length of time. In the first half of the week, the Church is still on earth and may suffer persecution in places, and in the second half of the week, it is raptured. The hour of temptation will not touch it, for the Church is not appointed to God’s wrath. I hold the view that during the time of apostasy, i.e., the preparation of the Antichrist for world dominion, the Church goes through all the stages of temptation by evil and endures all the trials in the form of the “seals” and “trumpets.”
I think the Church will still have to endure many sorrows. In the Gospel of Matthew 24:9 it is written: “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.” This means the persecution of the Church throughout the whole world, and such a thing has not yet happened until our days. But if the Lord allows us to be persecuted, then we must fully trust in His grace. He will preserve us even then!
At the moment of the rapture, a division of believers will take place: some will be taken, others will remain. It would seem that this event in itself should shake people, because a large number of citizens from all nations will disappear from the earth; this should bring those left behind to repentance. But nothing of the sort. On the contrary. The Bible reports something else: people will worship the Antichrist. Why?
The text from the Gospel of Matt. 24:24 speaks of false christs, false prophets, and the deception of the elect. I think that this prophecy has already begun to be fulfilled now. But then it will be global and will encompass the whole earth. Powerful occult forces will rise and produce wonders in order, if possible, to entice even many of the members of the true Church. We are already experiencing something similar today. The world today already longs to see what will happen under the Antichrist, it seeks these signs and wonders.
In 2 Thess. 2:9 we read: “The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders…” This is said of the Antichrist: his appearance on earth is closely connected with wonders and signs. Especially Rev. 13:11-12 depicts his entry onto the scene accompanied by great signs and wonders. I think that the Antichrist will need wonders for two purposes—firstly, to reassure the public that the rapture of the Church is of no essential importance, since the “real ‘god’ is in their midst,” and the proof of that is signs and wonders; — secondly, so that they worship him as God.
My son told me that he recently heard on the radio a woman, a representative of the “New Age,” announce that the world is preparing to accept a world dictator; and all who do not recognize him and do not worship him will be instantly cast out of the world, as useless people unfit for society. So, they are already now preparing the world for the fact that all those who prove to be an obstacle to this movement will be eliminated.
After this is done, they assert, the “real christ” will appear!
In one tract published by the “New Age” society, the following was written: “Pope John Paul II was chosen for service in order to promote this new teaching about new thinking into the Church.”
Unfortunately, very many Churches are already collaborating with this movement. It especially promotes the idea of passivity: to achieve a new experience in the spirit, they say, to be completely filled with the spirit, the absolute passivity of the personality is necessary.
Today, some evangelical Christians in the USA, Canada, and Brazil conduct classes and train on how to pray “correctly.” They say that one must sit down, switch off, and be completely passive; with each exhalation say “Jesus!” and with each inhalation say “Christ!” What does this mean? When we exhale air, we release spoiled gases, and when we inhale, we receive a fresh portion of oxygen. And by this, they show that Jesus must exit them, and the “christ” must enter. This is how evangelical Churches are being prepared today for the day of the Antichrist. They especially emphasize the necessity of becoming absolutely passive and focused, and holding pens in their hands. When an unknown force descends upon them, they write down what they should do. In such churches, the following is also taught: we should no longer conduct evangelism among unbelievers, but should act like this: sit down, be passive, and accept another person into your heart. And then the Christ who is in us will conduct the evangelism of that person (?!)
Where in the Bible do we find anything like this? This is a true heresy that contradicts the Word of God. Yet this is being promoted today among many evangelical congregations in various countries.
They pay special attention to so-called modern emotional music. This is a type of music that particularly affects a person’s feelings. A light melody plays, and soon, in time to it, people begin to make various movements. I have often observed such a picture: men and women twitch to the rhythms of very superficial, unspiritual songs, where the same words are constantly repeated. In exactly the same way, they use rock music in church services…
In the 2nd Epistle to the Thessalonians, chapter 2, verses 10-11, the reason why this happens is contained. Because people did not receive the love of the truth, but want to experience something, and seek this more than following God’s truth, God sends them strong delusion, so that they believe the lie. This is not a blessing, but God’s punishment for their life. If a person wants to have only spiritual experiences and leaves aside the truth, he will inevitably fall into heresy. Once a preacher was asked: what is more important to him—his feelings or the Bible? He answered: “If I have to choose between the Bible and my experience, I will renounce the Bible and remain with my experience.”
Such people are ready to sacrifice the Bible for the sake of experiences that give them false assurance that they are on the right path. Even when the Church has already been raptured, they will believe that Christ is still to come to earth to reign. This is terrible when a person so blindly believes a lie, and while being in delusion, is confident that he stands correctly. This is the most dangerous condition, of which the Savior says: “…and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked” — Revelation, chapter 3, verse 17.
In Rev. 17:16 we read: “And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire.” Here it speaks of the universal church that will be on the earth. I understand this to mean that it is being formed already today. This universal church is called “the great harlot” and will be hated by the Antichrist when his throne is strengthened, and will then be destroyed. So, it is being created to ensure the worship of the Antichrist, and then, when his plans are realized, he himself will personally destroy all its leadership. This will not happen before the time when he firmly consolidates his power.
What will happen with the human world regarding the preaching and testimony of God? Will the Lord allow the dragon to completely destroy the peoples of the earth? No, He will not allow His living, holy testimony to be completely silenced. And despite the fact that an ecumenical church will be functioning, and His true Church will have been raptured, the Lord will manifest His care for people. The prophecy in Revelation (14:6-8) shows that He will entrust the work of the gospel to heavenly Angels, who will fly in the midst of heaven and proclaim the everlasting Gospel to the people. They will call the nations to faith and the fear of God and warn them against the pernicious deceptions of the Antichrist and his mark. Will God leave people room for repentance? Yes, this mercy will be granted to them, which is evident from the further text in Revelation (14:12-13), where it is written: “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” People will accept the Angelic gospel, repent, reject the Antichrist with his wonders, and accept death at his hands.
What does the Bible say about the politics of that time? The prophet Daniel, in chapter 9, verse 27, partially answers this. It speaks here of the Antichrist: “Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; but in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, even until the consummation, which is determined, is poured out on the desolate.” If we delve into the text of this prophecy, it is easy to establish that “one week” means seven years. This can easily be verified based on the part of the prophecy that has already come to pass. The prophet speaks here of a certain “covenant” between “many” that will last one week, and the Jews will be participants in it.
If we base our understanding only on the 27th verse, one might think that the Antichrist’s government will be in power for seven years. However, 2 Thess. 2:7-8 does not show this. In these verses, the period of the Antichrist’s manifestation is divided into two parts. Already during the time of the Church, the mystery of lawlessness begins, i.e., the reception for the Antichrist is being prepared. The work is being done, but the man who will rule the world will be revealed only “when He who now restrains is taken out of the way.” So, the seven years are divided into two parts. And Rev. 13:4-7 points to 42 months, i.e., 3.5 years. So the Antichrist will actually rule over the whole world for only 3.5 years. And the politicians who will cooperate with him will already have made a covenant in advance for seven years, but only in the second half of the week will he appear as the world dictator.
In Rev. 11:2, it also points to 42 months, i.e., 3.5 years. If we connect this text with the Gospel of Matthew 24:15, the following picture emerges: the Antichrist will for some time rule the world collegially, together with a group, but will not reveal himself openly. And this will happen still during the time of the Church—that is how I understand it. This will be an alliance between different nations, but no one will know that one from this union is the Antichrist. When the Church is raptured—then he will reveal himself and fully take power into his own hands. And the first thing he will do is sit in the temple and demand to be worshiped as God—2 Thess. 2:4. When he sits in the temple, exactly what is written in the Gospel of Matthew 24:15 will happen—they will see the “abomination of desolation.” Why did the Jews not understand this before, but will understand it only at that moment?
Because the “New Age” or “New Era” movement, which is preparing the way for the Antichrist today, always says that they are expecting the Messiah. The very Messiah whom the Jews are also waiting for. In their books it is written: only when this man comes, everyone will see that this is the pure teaching of Lucifer. And then the Jews will suddenly see clearly: “Ah, this is not the Son of God, not the Messiah whom we have been waiting for, but this is the power of Satan!” And this will be the “abomination of desolation” in the Jerusalem temple. And then the covenant that was made for seven years will be broken, and the Jews will have to flee, because from that moment on, they will cease to recognize him as the Messiah.
So, the first point of the “New Age” program is the destruction of Christianity and the Bible; the second point is the destruction of Christian music; the third point is the persecution of the Jews, who will first accept and then reject the Antichrist, thereby subjecting themselves to bloody repressions. Daniel and Matthew speak of this in their prophecies.
In Revelation 17:3, what is written in chapter 13 is explained more concretely. The government of the Antichrist is also mentioned here. The harlot will first sit on the beast, which would never have been able to achieve world domination and the worship of the whole planet without the help of the ecumenical church—that is why today they are so persistently striving to create this occult religion through the blending of all confessions with Christianity and occultism. It is also striking how much the universal church has already succeeded today and how much it interferes in politics!
Let me give an example. The General Secretary of the WCC, originally from Uruguay, a sorry excuse for a preacher—(one cannot find a better word), a Methodist by conviction, recently made a statement, the essence of which boiled down to the idea: it is a completely normal phenomenon when the overthrow of governments is carried out through bloodshed. In other words—he approves of the overthrow of an undesirable government and its replacement with a terrorist one. It is monstrous when a religious leader supports bloodshed! And the WCC has already donated many funds for these purposes. I once had the opportunity to read a letter from a Methodist pastor in Africa, where the title page bore the words: “We paid for the fact that seven of our preachers were killed.”
He further reports the following. In their churches, they took up a collection of donations and sent this collection to the WCC. The WCC, thanking them, replied that they would direct the money to a group fighting for liberation in Africa. This group, having received the funds, bought weapons and killed seven preachers. And the pastor noted with bitterness: “The Church financed murder! How terrible! From this day on, I want nothing to do with the WCC.” Unfortunately, many Churches support the WCC, and it will thus lead Christianity to a terrible finish, when it worships the Antichrist.
A few more words about the economic state of the world at that time. This picture is depicted in Rev. 13:16-18. This refers to a new world economy, in which a person must submit to Lucifer. Otherwise, he will not be able to buy or sell.
Let me cite a statement by Benjamin Creme, one of the leaders of the “New Age.” Once, in a radio broadcast, he was asked: “What will you do with the banks and with the economy in the world in general?” He answered: “I have a written answer for this. We will organize a so-called bank holiday, which will last not just one day, but for some time. We will give every person an opportunity: either he dedicates himself to Lucifer and receives a number, or, if he does not do this, he will no longer have money in the bank. Those people who undergo such a dedication will receive a number on their forehead and on their right hand. They will be given a special card, and they will be able to spend a certain amount of money, depending on how useful they are to the government.”
And this is spoken of not only in the “New Age” movement. Many in the evangelical Churches have started talking about the same thing. In the USA, for example, there is a Church where it is practiced, during prayer at the beginning of the service, to count down a certain number in reverse order: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6 and so on down to 1, then they say “and… it is gone!” This happens in Evangelical Churches. What do they want to say by this? Precisely that the time in which the Antichrist will rule the world has drawn very near, and they, as a Church, are ready to worship him, i.e., they support the work of the “New Age.”
I want to especially emphasize the difference between the rapture of the Church and the coming of Christ. The Bible sometimes calls these two events by the word “coming,” with the only difference being that at the first (the rapture) it will take place in the heavens, and at the second—on earth. And many Christians confuse these events: one where Jesus, as the Bridegroom, comes for His Bride, the Church, and the meeting occurs in the air; and the second, where Christ descends to earth for judgment, accompanied by a great host of saints and the “armies of heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, following Him on white horses.” This is written in Rev. 19:11-18. There it says that “His eyes were like a flame of fire.” And Jesus can in no way meet His Bride with such a look. “Out of His mouth goes a sharp sword”—this is also a confirmation of the completion of judgment by Jesus upon the ungodly. In the Epistle of the Apostle Jude, verses 14-15, it is explained that this heavenly host surrounding the Lord is the Church of Christ. She comes together with Jesus to judge the ungodly who behaved lawlessly on earth and blasphemed the name of God, mocking Him. John, by God’s inspiration, adds to what was said: Angels will be with the Lord to execute this judgment. The Antichrist and the false prophet are both captured alive and cast into the lake of fire (Rev. 19:19-21), and his army is destroyed. A worthy retribution!
Looking at this picture of the mystery of lawlessness, which has long been at work, let us hasten to trim our lamps and wash ourselves from all sin in the saving Blood of the Lord Jesus.
To continue our reflection, let us take the biblical narrative from 2 Thessalonians 2:1-10. This text contains four very important truths that I want to draw your attention to.
The first of them is recorded in verses 1-3: “Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition.”
This passage speaks of the coming of Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul warns the Church not to be soon shaken in mind and not to be troubled either by spirit, or by word, or by letter as though the coming of Christ had already come. The Apostle draws our attention to the following circumstance: before the coming of Christ, His Church will experience intensified attacks by spirits of evil and powers of darkness through great deceptions and false teachings regarding the coming. A multitude of heresies and false movements will arise.—I work as a missionary in Brazil, and in this country alone at the present time there are more than 4,800 religious movements and Churches. This figure shows how great the apostasy of the nations from God’s truth is.
Why is this happening? What is the reason? It is in the following, and this is the second truth that I want to emphasize. In 2 Thessalonians 2:4 it says: “Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.”
As we see, the day of Christ will not come until the falling away occurs first, which is directly connected with the coming of the Antichrist and with one very clear and definite direction: this man of sin will want to present himself as God, so that the whole world worships him. And religions, as they have been until now, will never do this. It is even unthinkable to imagine that some Church calling itself Christian would worship the Antichrist. And yet it will happen.
In what way? Scripture answers: this will happen through massive deception and apostasy. That is why this global deception and falling away is observed in the Churches, in order to prepare the Church for the worship of the man of sin, the son of perdition.
The second part of the talk-publication begins from this page. In what follows, we will again refer to facts already known to you from what you have read. This is done deliberately, in order to once again sharpen your attention on the cunning plans of Satan—the enemy of human souls.
The third truth that I want to note is that the appearance of the Antichrist is being restrained. In verses 6-7 we read: “And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.” So, the Antichrist cannot reveal himself and take
Briefly about the history of the movement.
It was founded in 1875. And it began when a certain Helena Blavatsky announced that she had received a command from a spirit to begin the work of preparing a world kingdom. This spirit instructed her to work with her team for a hundred years underground, through secret lodges, and after that period, to emerge and officially declare itself. That is exactly what they did. From 1875 to 1975, the “New Age” worked illegally, and then, from 1975 onward, it suddenly began openly proclaiming its goals, its secret power, and its backing everywhere.
Helena Blavatsky said that a rainbow appeared to her as a special sign when she received the revelation, so she adopted it as the main symbol. What does the rainbow mean to them? As they themselves interpret it—it is a bridge from human thinking, through the entire realm of the spirits of the air, to Lucifer.
At present, many societies have been formed that cooperate with the “New Age” movement. I have many brochures from them. I would like to quote a short excerpt from one of them: “The time of the dark era will be a time when all strong governments will fall, borders will begin to disappear. A new worldwide financial system will be formed, and a single world government will be raised up. The influence of the group will grow ever more upon individuals. Family relationships will change completely. Schools will be used to prepare children for this world kingdom. Occultism will expand more and more. And, in the end, the god will conquer” (i.e., the Antichrist).
I want to briefly explain the symbolism of the rainbow.
Alice Bailey, one of the members of this movement, says that at the top of the rainbow is a most beautiful city called Shamballa. This is the kingdom of Lucifer. Under his leadership are all the hierarchies of spirits that rule in the air. The Bible clearly and distinctly reveals to us what these spirits that rule in the air are: they are the occult forces of Satan, as stated in Ephesians 2:2; 6:11-12. And, led by these forces, two special personalities are to step onto the scene. One is called Maitreya, who, by the power of Lucifer, is to rule over the whole world. (The Bible tells us the same thing in Revelation, chapter 13). At his right hand stands another man, whom they call Avatar-of-Synthesis. This man will unite all people so that they will worship Maitreya. (And this is also recorded in Revelation, chapter 13, where the false prophet will lead all people to unite so that they may worship the beast).
Under the leadership of these two men, says Alice Bailey, is a special group of “servers of the world.” Their goal is to prepare all the nations of the earth for the kingdom of the Antichrist. The group, in turn, is divided into two subgroups: one of them consists of initiates who have direct contact with the hierarchy of spirits; the others are aspirants, whose task is to spread across the planet the messages that the initiates receive from the spirits (i.e., from demons).
Alice Bailey goes on to say that everything that still stands today, they are destroying in order to create a new system (which is exactly what we are now observing everywhere).
About the satanic kingdom of Shamballa, Stanla writes the following: “The light of Lucifer cannot be reached in cares, darkness, or rejection. The true light of this great being appears when one’s own eyes see the light of Christ as the inner light. Lucifer will be in each of us to lead us to perfection. If we enter the New Age, and therefore the time of perfection, everyone will come to this point in some way. He himself will experience, will feel the initiation to Lucifer. That is the special door through which everyone who wants to be perfect must pass. Lucifer will come and give us the final gift of perfection.”
Many people are experiencing this right now, and others will experience it in the days to come, for what has been described above can be called nothing less than an initiation into the New Age.
I want to emphasize especially that it was specifically from 1975 that rainbows suddenly became visible everywhere—not in the clouds, of course, but on postcards, on books, in brochures, at conferences; in a word, this symbol can be seen everywhere in the West. Here in Russia, I have seen them less, but in some places they have also appeared. Their definite and clear goal is to initiate people into a connection with Lucifer.
The servants of the “New Age” use a multitude of symbols by which they recognize one another. And their primary symbol is the rainbow. Another symbol is a knotted rope, meaning eternal, endless bonds or nets; or the yin-yang sign—the connection of opposites; the “unicorn” symbol means: in the realm of morality, there will be no boundaries. The sign of a cross with a loop at the top testifies that the followers of the “New Age” reject the virgin birth. The five-pointed star is a symbol that all people stand under the control of Lucifer. The sign of Uranus is a symbol of the connection of man with cosmic forces. The sign of Neptune means: the new society wants to destroy everything old. Pluto is a symbol that the whole world will be dedicated to a new ruler, and this sign also means—a world without Christ. The most frequently used symbol is the pyramid. It signifies that humanity is under the control of Lucifer and will receive power from the satanic kingdom.
In their brochures, the members of the “New Age” describe their plans. And in their prayers, they pray that Lucifer will realize these plans on earth.
I will quote several points from there:
- to create a world religion and a new economic system on earth;
- this new religion is to be based on the mysticism of Babylon;
- Maitreya will ascend to the throne of the world kingdom only after people accept the number 666;
- cosmic forces will operate in people to prepare them for this kingdom;
- much will be said about love, peace, and the unification of all religions;
- schools will especially be used to deceive children;
- people will be told that Jesus was not the Christ;
- attempts will be made to incline Christianity itself to belong to this world kingdom;
- Christian teaching will gradually be pushed into the background;
- the misleading of children is to begin as early as age five;
- to instill in every person the belief that he himself is god;
- religion and science must be united into one whole;
- those Christians who resist the world government must be destroyed.
I want to dwell on one more symbol—the caterpillar-cocoon-butterfly. I discovered this symbol in a book by “New Age” participant Peri Vail. He explains that the present world can be compared to a caterpillar, where people have no cosmic perspective, only crawling on the ground. But the world has now come to the time when the caterpillar must transform into a cocoon. Today we are living in the stage of this cocoon, where everything is being “restructured”: politics, religion, family life, the economy. Everything will change. And people who follow the latest news know what is happening in the world at present. Ultimately, they say, a butterfly will emerge from the cocoon—the New Age, the new era, the new generation.
Many societies have already been formed that cooperate with the “New Age” movement. In the United States of America alone, there are more than 10,000 of them. And what has struck me most of all: a great number of the supporters of the “New Age” are evangelical Christians. Therefore, it is obvious how deeply Satan has penetrated the Church!
I have a list of organizations (it is, of course, far from complete) that play a significant role in this movement. One of them is “Lucis Trust.” It was founded in 1922 and at that time was called “The Lucifer Publishing Company.” Under this name, the organizers wanted to register themselves and obtain the status of a public-benefit society and government recognition. But the government prevented it, citing that registration with the name of Lucifer was impossible. Then they changed the name from “Lucifer” to “Lucis” and, as a result, obtained the status of a public-benefit organization. But the teaching itself did not undergo any transformation. I wrote letters to them, received tracts and brochures from them, and these are my proofs of what role they play in reality. “Lucis Trust” works especially intensively within the Churches. When we later speak about ecumenism, I will return once more to this society.
The next society that actively participates in the “New Age” movement is called “Planetary Citizen” (or World Citizen). This organization is preparing people for the kingdom of the Antichrist. I have tracts from them as well, in which I read in 1982 that “Planetary Citizen” was already issuing passports to its members as world citizens, and 2,000 had already been handed out at that time. And in 1987, five years later, I read the following in a tract received from them: “We are registering people as world citizens. We have several hundred thousand people in more than 60 countries who are seriously taking up the fulfillment of their tasks as planetary citizens.”
So, they already have several hundred thousand people who have received passports as world citizens! And these are all people actively working to erect a world government and a world kingdom. One of the “New Age” collaborators, named Megos Fagosen, from whom I also received a book, writes in it that there are very many Churches on earth where a collaborator has been planted who spreads the satanic teaching. They consciously have us in mind.
Let us turn to the testimony of yet another person. His name is Cain Galtzwalber. This is one of the former collaborators of the “Planetary Citizen” society. After several years, he turned to God in repentance and left this movement. In one of his brochures, Cain described six main points of the teaching of “Planetary Citizen”:
- Everything in the world is excellent, and man is too. Divinity lives in everything: in the cosmos, on earth, in plants, in animals, and in people. Ultimately, everything is good and divine.
- Man must gradually grow into his divinity. For this to happen successfully, he needs a multitude of reincarnations. And for that, he must die again and again and return to earth in another body. It is good for a person to die early, because he will more quickly reach the next stage. At one of the “New Age” conferences I attended, it was said that during the New Age there would be no old people—they would all be given a swift death so that their souls could reincarnate into another body.
- Death is a blessing. And the faster a person dies, the better for him.
- It is not good if a husband remains faithful to his wife, and a wife faithful to her husband. The more a person changes partners, the faster he will be transformed into a deity. (I know that today’s radio and television programs are aimed at destroying family foundations).
- Every person has received a special grace. And the more he immerses himself in this work of his, the more divine he becomes.
- The great teacher bears the name Maitreya. He will come into the world to commence world rule.
The “New Age” are supporters of equal rights for men and women, in the sense that they must have equal rights and work equally. The “Feminist” movement (women only) is their initiative. We are not saying that a woman is less worthy than a man, but each has received their role from God. The “New Age” wants to change everything. Peri Vail says in his book that in the period of the New Age there will be no place for family life as it is understood today. Children will no longer bear the father’s name, because no woman will keep faith with her husband, and therefore no one will know who the child’s father is. In this way they want to shatter family structures, to destroy the family. Unfortunately, they are having success in this. Recently, I read a curious tract. The Minister for Youth of West Germany, Mrs. Lör, lists the following points in her work plan:
- The upbringing of children should be the responsibility of society. Parents should no longer be responsible for raising children. The family is harmful in the sense that it separates children from society. Maternal love is especially harmful because it destroys the child’s connection with society. (We well know how ruinous and dangerous such a statement is, how contrary it is to truth).
- We must work toward the emancipation of women. We must strive for men and women to swap roles. For example, for the man to stay at home as the housekeeper, cooking and washing, while the woman works outside the home, in an office or in production.
- We must build houses in such a way that they do not belong to one family, but to several families, like a corridor system. Then men and women can invite whoever they wish to spend the night with them. This is already being practiced in some countries today. (I know that many such apartments have been built in our city of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil). In confirmation of what has been said—I hold in my hands a postcard showing a rainbow sign, and the inscription reads: “You and I—we live on the rainbow path, on the path of free love.” What does this “free love” mean? Only one thing: there will be no more faithfulness.
The “New Age” movement has done a great deal of work in the field of politics and world economy. They drew up a plan and divided the whole world into ten kingdoms, ten regions. It is interesting to note that these regions are already taking shape in their development. For example: the European Community is already complete; the countries of Asia are on the path to unification, as are those of central Africa. The USA and Canada have already concluded an economic union. And in the last week before I left home, I found two articles in the newspapers stating that Latin America wants to unite into one economic union, fully in accordance with this plan.
The prophecy of Revelation indicates to us that ten kingdoms (“ten horns”) will be formed, and through them a world government will emerge. Benjamin Creme—one of the active figures of this movement, gives thrilling lectures all over the world about this world state. I even saw a film where he, speaking in New York, said the following: “We will have a holiday for the banks, when all the money will be consolidated in them. We will place people before the choice of initiation to Lucifer. All those who undergo this initiation will receive a number on their forehead or on their hand, and will be able to buy and sell.” A journalist asked him: “What will you do with those who do not accept this number?” Creme answered: “I can imagine that your church will be one of the last to accept it” (it belongs to the fundamentalists). And then he added: “Those who will not accept this number, we will send into another dimension—to the other side.”
And let us turn again to the Bible, where Revelation 13:16-17 says: “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”
A week before my departure, I received another tract with “New Age” propaganda, in which it is written: “We are ready to send you a magazine in which you will receive an explanation of the meaning and sanctity of this number—666.”
In 1984, a coalition of “United Federalists” was founded by two figures. One of them, James Warburg, was brought before the Senate and had to explain what goals they pursued. This man said: “We will achieve a world government, whether you want it or not. We will achieve this goal through negotiations, or, if necessary, we will force you.” The other man who leads this organization, Clark Meyer, says: “When countries are integrated into this system and come to belong to the world government, it will be impossible to run away anywhere, to evade, because a country that wishes to leave this union will be destroyed by an atomic bomb.”
Peri Vail also writes in his book: “We demand that all borders be opened, that a world economy be established, and ultimately, a single world government emerge.”
I think that all political changes and nuances are important insofar as we need to know how far the time we are in has advanced. Spiritual struggle is far more important to us than politics. I read many newspapers to trace from the latest news what kind of world we live in today, and I try to correctly compare what I read with prophecy. But the most important thing in all this is, what is our spiritual condition? And now—regarding the practical side of spiritual warfare, it still lies ahead for all of us.
In the plans and brochures of the “New Age,” the message is propagated that they want to prepare the world kingdom mainly through children. In the USA, for example, a new society has been founded, which, to put it briefly, is called “Thinia” or the General Educational Society. This is a plan for schools worldwide, which is being introduced wherever possible. Alice Bailey worked extensively in this area, and she asserts that it is best to prepare children from the age of five.
Before continuing this very serious topic, I want to briefly explain how mental functioning operates. In our brain, there are electrical currents, and if brain activity is connected to a special apparatus, we see these currents on a screen in the form of waves or frequencies. In a normal, alert state, the frequency of brain function ranges from 14 to 35 Hertz. This means that in this range, we can hear information, control and test everything we hear; we can accept what we consider acceptable and reject what we consider unacceptable.
However, it is possible to lower the frequency of human brain function to somewhere between 7 and 14 Hertz. For better understanding, let us conditionally designate the alert state with the letter Beta, and the lowered state with the letter Alpha. In the Alpha state, a person hears everything that is said to them, but they lack the ability to control. In a normal state, a person receiving information can, before accepting it, subject it to analysis and control, accept that which is right, and reject that which is wrong. But in the Alpha state, they cannot do this. The ability to control is eliminated. Information invades the person directly, bypassing the point of control. What has been described is one of the most terrible wiles of Satan.
How is this carried out in practice? A technique and specific relaxation methods are used. These methods are most often conducted in some Western schools; children are asked to bring a small blanket or mat from home, which is spread on the floor. The children lie down on them, and quiet, soft, pleasant music is turned on. The teacher asks everyone to relax their body and begins to read something to them. After some time, the brain functions more and more slowly. When the teacher notices that the child has entered the Alpha state, they begin to read them the teaching of the “New Age.” In this way, the child passively absorbs this teaching, being unable to resist it, because their control functions are switched off. Before the child is returned to a normal state, they are told: “It is better if you do not tell your parents about this at home, because they will not be able to understand you properly anyway.” Then the teacher awakens the children, bringing them out of the Alpha state. The child is ready: they have accepted the teaching of the “New Age” as an axiom. They have no possibility of expelling from themselves this information that they have accepted as truth.
What specifically is said to the child in such a state? Usually, it is instilled in them that in life they need a friend, a helper, a spiritual personality, some spirit; and that there are many such spirits in the cosmos who are just waiting for an invitation to come and help. And if they have such a helper, it will be much easier to study. Then they take a so-called journey into the Cosmos. In this state, the child makes the acquaintance of a spirit. When at home they later sit down to prepare their lessons, they concentrate and, in their imagination, summon this spirit, who helps them study by being near them. That is how it all functions. And the consequences of such practice are terrible: the child finds themselves spiritually enslaved; they lack the freedom that was inherent to them until now. In such a state, the little one is instilled with the idea that they are god.
Recently, I received a cassette from the “New Age” that sets out the methodology for children’s relaxation, as it is practiced in some Brazilian schools. A monotone voice from the magnetic tape instils: “…Now feel the vastness of the Cosmos around you. Feel yourself happy. You are illuminated. Now mentally say three times: I believe in this, I believe in this, I believe in this; I am divine and perfect. Repeat after me: I am divine and perfect…”
The last phrase is specifically instilled three times to secure in the child’s mind what Satan wants: that they are divine and perfect.
“…In this world that you have now received, you can be sure that you will have success. You are at peace with yourself, completely relaxed. Now we can continue our journey…”
Here they are already at the point where the hierarchies of spirits are located. And now they go to the five-pointed star, which is the symbol of Lucifer or Shamballa.
“Now look: you will see a five-pointed star, yellow. It is not a material, but a spiritual star, which will now illuminate you…”
In this way, the child enters into direct contact with Lucifer. This system of instruction is used not only for children, but also in many courses for learning foreign languages by the accelerated method. There, they usually deal with the same relaxation methods. Even if the teachers say nothing else during the course, they are nevertheless preparing the person, training their mind for passivity. In this way, their thinking is opened up to the world of evil spirits.
The Bible strongly urges the believing person to be watchful, not passive!
The “New Age” teaching is used in Brazil not only in the study of foreign languages but is currently being introduced in many factories as well. When a person wants to achieve higher results, they must submit to this method. I knew people who did not agree to follow this dubious path. They, of course, found no place in such an enterprise. It should be noted that many enterprises in various countries of the world are entangled in a similar satanic web. And this method finds more and more supporters. In Brazil, for example, very few factories remain that are not connected with the forced violence against human reason through the method of Lucifer.
As we see, the mystery of iniquity is already clearly at work in our days. One school director shares her problems: “We have more and more children who are destroyed personalities. They have no control whatsoever over their own actions…”
These are the consequences of the “New Age” system.
…Satan is hurrying to subject the young generation of planet Earth to himself. And he will try to do this by any means possible. As for us, being enlightened by the Word of our Lord, we must watch, in order to anticipate and resist the evil violence against our children.
“New Age” and Religion.
It is impossible for everyone to worship the antichrist unless a transformation is made in the realm of religion. The “New Age” movement has devised a plan to reform all confessions. Christians await Christ, Jews await the Messiah, Buddhists await the fifth incarnation of Buddha, Mohammedans await Imam Mahdi, Krishnaites await Krishna. “Christ”, “Messiah” “Buddha”, “Imam Mahdi”, “Krishna” – these, they say, are simply different names for one and the same person, who actually bears the name Maitreya. He will unite them all into one “flock”. Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Mohammedans; Hindus – these are merely different flocks of one shepherd, which must unite. And Jesus, they assert, is the Son of God, but He was not the Christ. The true Christ is yet to come. And for that hour to arrive, everyone must unite into one universal church.
What, then, should religion be?
Alice Beil writes about a coming great struggle, a war that will take place both in the spiritual and material spheres. She means a worldwide confrontation of forces in the realm of confessions. For this future war, which will certainly come, conservative forces are already being prepared, she says: “Conservatism and firmness in doctrine can be found in various movements. The coming war will also take place within the Churches. This war will spread and intensify, and will be waged by enlightened and prepared people who have infiltrated the Churches.”
As we see, the devil is preparing war on two fronts — from without and from within. That is, they will fight us with external forces and at the same time prepare their own supporters inside the Churches. In other words, they will carry out subversive activities within our Churches. I have visited over 150 Churches and everywhere found that they are going through a bitter struggle. Again and again, attempts are made to undermine and overthrow the Church.
The figures of the “New Age” have founded a group called “Unity in Diversity.” Its main task is to unite all religions. The “New Age” claims: “Faith divides us, but feelings and experience unite us.” And they try to create a religion based not on the Bible, not on dogma, but on shared experiences.
What might these feelings or experiences be? At the beginning we read what means the false prophet will use to mislead the Church: it is the experience of great signs and wonders. The World Council of Churches (WCC), the world’s leading center of Christianity, is already linked with this movement and “pours water on their mill.” I mentioned this earlier.
I will tell you another piece of information of special importance. It concerns a society that directly serves Lucifer. In one of the “New Age” magazines, this society published a list of its collaborators who are preparing a world government. Among them I found the WCC, which is directly connected to the “Lucis Trust” as a world server.
What does “world server” mean for the “Lucis Trust”? These servers are divided into two groups. One consists of those who enter into direct contact with spirits; the other, of those who work to destroy everything that exists and to build something new. The WCC belongs to the second group. It has already produced terrible destruction in the Christian world. How many terrorist groups have been supported by their money! A Methodist pastor from Africa reported that seven clergy were murdered by terrorists hired with WCC money! They are linked to Lucifer through the WCC via the “Lucis Trust.” The WCC is a purely heretical organization, whose members claim that fellowship with pagan religions has given them new life. What kind of life can a pagan give a Christian? The Bible calls this life spiritual death.
We have a photograph taken on the Day of Prayer in Assisi. The World Day of Prayer was proclaimed by the Pope for Buddhists, Muslims, Jews, and Hindus. Christians were also invited, but I think no true Christians were there. Perhaps there were evangelical Christians present, but backslidden ones. So, there they held their prayer day together. On the wall there was a cross. It was taken down and a statue of Buddha was put up. And before this statue they all prayed together! Is this not sacrilege?
Some will say: but those are Catholics! Can they be taken seriously? I will tell you frankly: the Reformed or Evangelical, or Lutherans look no better. In Brazil, for example, there was a meeting among Pentecostals. They also invited Buddhists, Muslims, spiritists — all of them, and each one preached, and then they prayed. This is the great spiritual Babylon, the great harlot, which is being prepared to bow down and worship the Antichrist.
I have already mentioned the women’s movement, or feminism. Nowadays they worship a statue of a feminine Christ. They say: we can no longer understand Christ as simultaneously male and female. They work very hard for the recognition of homosexuals. In Germany, Helga Sorge composed a prayer. It is called “Our Mother” (in contrast to “Our Father”). Its author is a theologian. The prayer goes like this:
“Holy mother, you are heaven and earth, fire, water and air, one spirit with many names. All together is god. Everything will be dedicated to you… You are the greatest personality of all beings… You are our soul, which must not be trampled by boots.
Oh, mother!…“
And this blasphemous prayer is recited in many… evangelical Churches today instead of “Our Father”! Is it not clear to us what madness and fall Christianity has already reached, praying with such prayers?! And even… Maitreya (?!)
They not only support the women’s movement. Such false Christians go further and say that all animals are our weak brothers and sisters. Once or twice a year they hold meetings to which their infirm “brothers and sisters” come. Introducing their neighbors, some present animals as… their “brother donkey,” “sister pig,” “brother dog,” etc. And all this takes place among evangelical Christians! For example, in one city in Germany (this is where I studied), by the way, it can also be observed in India, Ireland, the USA, they complained that the last time they had only 50 “infirm brothers and sisters” — 50 dogs(!). Involuntarily, the words from 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 come to mind: “…and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
Those people who reject love and truth — as a punishment they receive delusion and believe the lie. How many people today are already deceived to such an extent that they are no longer able to care about the truth!
In the religions of the new generation, passivity is emphasized more and more. They teach: “To receive more revelations from the spirit and to have visions and prophecies, one must completely relax and become passive.” What does this indicate? A person opens the door wide for the invasion of seducing spirits into the heart, spirits that bring teachings of error. And God allows this for violating the laws of the spiritual world and for neglecting the truth. Do we find anything similar in the teaching of the apostles? The Apostle Paul writes in Galatians 1:8-9: “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.”
Concerning deceivers. In the United States there lives a certain pastor Patrick. He quite openly says that every person is a god.
In the same city there is also a Baptist pastor named Rudne Ruma, who says the same thing: “Each of us is a god.” Thus, in the Baptist Church what is the teaching of the “New Age” is already openly preached. The former General Secretary of the WCC once said: “We use the charismatic movement to unite the confessions of all countries.” I will also name Agnes Semfor, a minister who has great influence on all leaders of the charismatic movement. I read her articles. They describe how she received her charismatic powers. After her conversion, she went to a Buddhist temple, stared at the statue of Buddha for a long time, and a thought came to her: “Was there truth with my parents? Perhaps these people are also right?” And she began to repeat the prayers of Buddhist monks before the statue of Buddha, and she repeated them until a spirit entered her life. This spirit has accompanied her now to the age of 66… Since then she began to work in the area of laying hands on others, and many prominent figures of the charismatic movement received the spirit through the laying on of her hands. But the spirit that comes through the laying on of her hands has nothing in common with the Holy Spirit. It is a spirit of delusion.
Arnold Bittenge is also one of the prominent leaders of the charismatic movement in Germany. He also tells about himself, how he went to occultists in order to find full power there, and a spirit entered him. All these things are alarming and prove that the charismatic movement easily comes into contact with occult forces, various demonic movements, and confessions, and they do not clearly discern the direction of faith. Over the last eight years, charismatics have celebrated their annual feasts together with the Pope. What does this indicate? That before our eyes a universal church is being formed, which Scripture calls “the great harlot.” Let us pay attention to the words of Jesus Christ in the Gospel of Matthew 7:21-23: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”
Jesus says here that many of those who did signs and wonders in His name, prophesied and cast out demons, will not enter His kingdom. Are these not the signs and wonders of the charismatic movement, which are so widespread in our days? I mentioned above that this movement is used to unite all confessions through common experiences and feelings. Contemporary reality and life confirm this.
I will give a small example. A believing soldier and his wife belonged to a charismatic Church. One Sunday evening, he had to serve guard duty at the door where a spiritualist séance was taking place. The medium, Sreda, who was making contact with the spirit, brought the necessary sacrifices. He killed a black chicken, drank its blood, drank a liter bottle of vodka, and lit candles. Then he began to call the spirits. Half an hour, an hour — no result. After an hour and a half, suddenly a terrible noise broke out in the hall. All the tables and chairs began to move. And everyone understood: the spirit had come. The soldier was standing guard inside the room and saw the whole picture. Sreda asked the spirit: “Why did you keep us waiting so long? We called you for more than an hour and a half.” The spirit answered: “We were in such-and-such Church (and he named the Church to which this soldier and his wife belonged). We baptized so-and-so and so-and-so (he named names) with the spirit. We gave them the spirit of tongues, the spirit of healing, and the gift of prophecy…”
The soldier turned pale and trembled so much that he could no longer stand, because this was his own Church. He went home, and at that moment his wife had just returned from the Church. He asked her: “What happened at the meeting today?” And she repeated exactly the same things he had heard from the spirit at the spiritualist séance. Then he declared: “This is a terrible thing! We must repent quickly and admit that the spirit operating among us is not the Holy Spirit. These are lying spirits.” And they never went to that Church again…
“Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall!” — warns the holy apostle Paul.
