Putin flooded the city of Krymsk to save his palace — the death toll already runs into the thousands
Kremlin gang leader Putin has ordered a “thorough investigation” into the deaths in Adygea (the so-called “Krasnodar Territory”), the newspaper “La Repubblica) writes.
The killer wave came from an artificial lake with a volume of 8 million cubic meters. The reservoir is located a stone’s throw from the town of Krymsk in the Caucasus… On Friday night, under torrential rain that had begun around six in the evening, “someone” unleashed a huge mass of water on 30,000 homes, claiming the lives of 171 people.
“They killed us, they destroyed everything: houses, fields, vegetable gardens, shops,” says local resident Alexei. He shows his half-ruined house, which is impossible to enter because of a half-meter layer of mud. The vegetable garden is also buried under mud: “We have nothing left to eat,” the man says with tears in his eyes.
On Friday night, the Kuban River suddenly turned into a raging torrent. The wave swept into the valley like an avalanche: it exploded like a bomb and reached the center of Krymsk. An almost two-meter-high wave struck houses with tremendous force. “Our son saved us,” Anna says. “He shouted for us to get out, but it was impossible. We smashed the glass and climbed out through the windows. Three women lived right next to us, and all of them died.”
Everyone knows about this, and there is no longer any fear, the journalist continues; they all talk about Lake Neberdzhayevskoye: it is one of four artificial reservoirs located above the valley. There was too much water in it; it could have overflowed the basin. Then the city of Tsemez (“Novorossiysk”) would have been flooded. There is a port and the world’s second-largest oil terminal there.
The Putin regime opened the sluices and released the water.
“We realized something was happening,” recalls Nikolai. “At 11 p.m. the lights went out. Three hours later a rumble was heard, and then hell began.”
171 people died, but the toll is at least 200, the paper writes. Many bodies are still under a layer of mud. The strongest survived; the rest drowned. So reports “La Repubblica.”
For his part, a correspondent for the BBC Russian Service who visited Krymsk writes:
“Almost no one believes that the devastating flood was caused by torrential rains. Virtually everyone I spoke with here thinks that the more likely main cause is the release of water from the Neberdzhayevskoye reservoir near Krymsk.”
According to testimony from residents of the city, Putin ordered the city flooded to save his villa in Praskoveevka. According to eyewitness accounts, on Saturday night in Krymsk, four sluices were opened. As of 11 p.m. Saturday, the death toll was over 300, with 200 missing. On the night to Saturday, a seven-meter wall of water engulfed the town.
As reported by “Kavkaz-Center,” some bloggers report that, “based on data from similar situations and the population of Krymsk, the possible death toll could be in the several thousand.”
Meanwhile, one of the leaders of the White Revolution, Chirikova, tweeted on the afternoon of July 9 on her “Twitter”:
“Activist Roman called from Krasnodar, reporting ‘trucks with bodies from Krymsk.’ By his estimate, the death toll is over 1,000.”
This message is corroborated by other sources: “Enormous refrigerator trucks belonging to a well-known retail chain (‘MAGNIT’) stood outside the Krymsk morgue all day long, and bodies were continuously being unloaded from them.”
