The Anti-Christian Locust and the Army of 'Joel'
We present two episodes of a film made in Ukraine, “The Army of Joel.” The film is based on the real testimonies of the leaders of this movement, which are available on the internet, on television, and in magazines.
The army of Joel from Joel 2:1-11 and the army of locusts from Revelation chapter 9 have risen against God’s city Jerusalem — the church of Jesus Christ. From Scripture we see the ungodly character of this army, aimed at devastation of what is growing. To protect ourselves from this army sent by God, Scripture directs us to repentance and seeking the Lord’s mercy. Prompted by the Holy Spirit, people who are part of this army expose themselves. T.D. Jakes, youth leaders in America, spokesmen with Todd Bentley, Rick Joyner, and others openly speak about this. They testify of themselves that they are the locust “Jehovah’s Witnesses” on the pages of their magazine. Threatening voices of the leaders of this army are heard about the extermination of Christians who will not submit to them. The leaders of this army testify to the spread of this hellish fire at the speed of a wildfire. If you are not written in the Lamb’s book of life, you may be swept away by the hellish anti-Christian fire of the false church.
Joel 2
1 Blow the trumpet in Zion and sound the alarm on My holy mountain; let all the inhabitants of the earth tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming, for it is near—
2 a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness: as the dawn spreads over the mountains, a numerous and mighty people, such as never existed from eternity and never will be again for all generations.
3 Before them fire devours, and behind them a flame burns; the land before them is like the Garden of Eden, but behind them a desolate wilderness, and nothing escapes them.
4 Their appearance is like the appearance of horses, and like horsemen they run;
5 with a noise like chariots they leap on the tops of mountains, like the crackling of a fiery flame devouring stubble, like a mighty army drawn up for battle.
6 Before them the nations are in anguish, all faces turn pale.
7 They run like mighty men, like bold warriors they climb the wall; each marches on his own way, and they do not break ranks.
8 They do not push one another; each goes in his own path; and they burst through the weapons and are not halted.
9 They rush through the city, they run on the wall, they climb into the houses, they enter through the windows like a thief.
10 Before them the earth quakes, the heavens tremble; the sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars withdraw their shining.
11 The Lord gives voice before His army, for His camp is exceedingly great; for strong is the one who executes His word. For the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; who can endure it?
12 Yet even now, declares the Lord, return to Me with all your heart, with fasting, weeping, and mourning.
13 Rend your hearts and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and He relents from sending calamity.
14 Who knows whether He will turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind Him, a grain offering and a drink offering for the Lord your God?
15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, consecrate a fast, call a solemn assembly.
16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, even nursing infants; let the bridegroom leave his chamber, and the bride her room.
17 Between the porch and the altar let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep and say, “Spare Your people, O Lord, do not make Your heritage a reproach, a byword among the nations. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’”
18 Then the Lord will be jealous for His land and will have pity on His people.
19 The Lord will answer and say to His people, “Behold, I will send you grain, wine, and oil, and you will be satisfied; and I will no more make you a reproach among the nations.
20 I will remove the northern one far from you, and drive him into a dry and desolate land, his vanguard into the eastern sea, and his rear guard into the western sea; and his stench will rise, and his foul smell will rise, for he has done great things.”
21 Do not fear, O land; be glad and rejoice, for the Lord has done great things!
22 Do not be afraid, you beasts of the field, for the pastures of the wilderness will sprout, the tree will bear its fruit, the fig tree and the vine will yield their strength.
23 So you, O children of Zion, be glad and rejoice in the Lord your God; for He has given you the autumn rain in righteousness, and He will pour down for you the rain, the early and the latter rain, as before.
24 The threshing floors shall be full of grain, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.
25 I will repay you for the years that the locust, the cankerworm, the caterpillar, and the palmerworm have eaten—My great army, which I sent among you.
26 You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And My people shall never again be put to shame.
27 You shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and there is no other. And My people shall never again be put to shame.
28 And afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.
29 Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out My Spirit.
30 And I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth: blood and fire and pillars of smoke.
31 The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.
32 And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be salvation, as the Lord has said, and among the survivors whom the Lord calls.
Revelation 9
1The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from heaven to the earth; and it was given the key to the shaft of the abyss.
2It opened the shaft of the abyss, and smoke rose up from the shaft like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke from the shaft.
3And out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth, and they were given power like the power that earthly scorpions have.
4And they were told not to harm the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only those people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.
5And they were permitted not to kill them, but to torment them for five months; and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings a person.
6In those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will desire to die, but death will flee from them.
7In appearance the locusts were like horses prepared for battle; on their heads were what looked like crowns of gold, and their faces were like human faces;
8their hair was like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth.
9They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of chariots and many horses rushing into battle;
10they had tails with stingers like scorpions, and in their tails lay the power to harm people for five months.
11They had as king over them the angel of the abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek Apollyon.
