The Harlotry of the AUCECB and the Martyrs of the Lord Jesus Christ

“One must know history not because it has passed, but because it has left indelible consequences.”

The true reason for this spiritual condition is that many ministers of the former Union of Evangelical Christians-Baptists (ECB), the All-Union Council of Evangelical Christians-Baptists (AUCECB), Pentecostals (KhVE), and Seventh-day Adventists (SDA) turned away **from the ways of the Lord and led God’s people into opposition to the Holy Spirit… — AND NOW HERE IN THE USA THEY RUN CHURCHES, STILL UNREPENTANT!!!!!**The tragic pages of the life of God’s people convince us how destructive the path of compromise is for the church. When someone argues that by conceding to the authorities’ demands in spiritual matters one can preserve the church, that is a ruinous mistake. It is impossible to build up God’s work by outright unfaithfulness to God and at the price of compromises.

Unfaithfulness dooms the church to defeat…

In the history of the official ECB churches, prayers were offered during services for the tsars who had invaded the church and trampled it, shedding innocent blood; yet the prisoners of Christ were disowned, the persecuted faithful ministers were not prayed for, and by their blessings and servile obligingness to the persecutors these ministers carried the axe for the executioners, multiplying the suffering of the Body of Christ.

On January 23, 1924, the Board of the Union of Baptists sent a letter to the Central Committee of the RCP(b):

On January 27, 1924, unusual services were held in the congregations of the All-Russian Union of Evangelical Christians (VSEKh): “Today V. I. Lenin is being paid the last respects; he will be buried, and the earth will hide his body forever, and we, Evangelical Christians, must not remain indifferent to this event (…) we propose today… to honor his memory BY STANDING, and also to address a prayer to the Lord for the entire Russian people and for the government set up by the Lord, that Almighty Lord may bless our dear homeland and put in the place of Comrade LENIN a worthy man, able to rule wisely the great Russian people…”

And when I. V. Stalin died in 1953, the political situation was once again accompanied by church participation: “…the Chairman of the AUCECB, Y. I. Zhidkov, spoke briefly and offered a prayer. After the prayer, all those present at the meeting stood and honored the memory of the Great Leader of the Soviet people, I. V. STALIN, with a minute of silence (…) After A. V. Karev’s address, everyone knelt. M. A. Orlov and Y. I. Zhidkov prayed that in this grief the Lord would comfort the entire Soviet people; bless the New Government (…) A common hymn was sung: ‘Sad, burdensome are the moments…’ In conclusion, the senior presbyter M. A. Orlov offered a prayer for the Soviet country and the Government. The platform and the pulpit were draped in black velvet…”

Upon the history of the AUCECB lies a heavy burden of betrayal and collaboration with the KGB…

The award was given at a time when ministers of the Council of Churches were being given repeat prison terms without release.

Today attempts are made to justify the path of the AUCECB, arguing that at the cost of concessions it supposedly preserved the churches. This is an outright sinful interpretation of history. It was only the emergence of an awakened church in the years when a sword was hanging over all God’s people that prolonged the existence of the AUCECB and forced atheism to withdraw forever from its program of “showing the last believer in the country on television.”

“And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it” (Matthew 7:27).

We must still today remember the unfaithful, sinful steps of preceding generations.

The most terrifying thing is not that we were oppressed, but that the Lord forsook some. He could not dwell in the hearts of traitors who showed unfaithfulness to Him.

We need to remember the paths the brotherhood walked in former years; to examine them, to condemn everything unworthy, everything sinful, and certainly to correct it through repentance, so that the present generation would not venture to walk an unfaithful path.

If it were possible to forget the paths walked, to “cover mistakes with love,” as is so often said today, then we would have to say: “Yes, there were such documents as the ‘New Statute of the AUCECB’ and the ‘Instructional Letter to Senior Presbyters of the AUCECB’ that were killing the life of the church.

Yes, these documents came out of church circles; leading ministers of the center participated in drafting them—but all that is in the past…“

NOT FORGETTING SINS, BUT REPENTANCE!!!

No, it is not to forgetting sins that the Lord calls us.

Everything sinful, vicious must find condemnation also from the present generation. At every level, we must examine the paths: the personal path, the church path, and the path of the brotherhood as a whole.

Having entered the difficult era of the 21st century, Protestants have no right to make yet another historical mistake by adopting as the supreme and indisputable law of their lives the strenuously propagated and persistently implanted sinful view of the church’s place in this world.

The faithfulness to God shown by persecuted Christians in the past restrained atheists from using repressive tactics.

The persecutors clearly understood: a living church cannot be overcome by brute pressure. On the contrary—the church grew and gained new ground almost in direct proportion to the degree of pressure.“ The faithfulness of regenerated Christians to the Lord moved the persecutors to acknowledge this such an obvious truth.

Persecution is a customary environment for Christians. Truly, “repression will not help here.” Therefore, the decision was made to employ tactics of internal decay of the church.

Dying in chains, in loneliness, they kept faithfulness to God and prayed at the edge of the grave for the awakening of the church, for it to “be freed from the influence of the outsiders,” for faithful shepherds to arise in it who would lay down their lives for the sheep. They prayed and believed that through repentance the church would be cleansed from the sinful inheritance. The cries and groans of the martyrs God placed in “golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints” (Revelation 5:8).

Why have Protestant churches in America suffered a fiasco?
What is the essence of that truth, the search for which “decades were spent”?
What deviations from the truth became “dynamite of terrible power”?
By whom was it laid?
Are ministers responsible for this?
