Why did Protestant churches in America suffer a fiasco?
What is the essence of that truth, the search for which “took decades”?
What departures from truth became “dynamite of terrifying power”?
Who laid this dynamite?
Are ministers responsible for this?

The true cause of this spiritual condition is that many ministers of the former union of the ECB, AUCECB, CFE, and SDA departed from the ways of the Lord and led God’s people into resistance against the Holy Spirit… — AND NOW HERE IN THE USA THEY GOVERN CHURCHES, STILL UNREPENTANT!!!!!

The tragic pages of the life of God’s people convince us how ruinous the path of compromise is for the church. When someone argues that concessions to the demands of the authorities in spiritual matters can preserve the church, it is a disastrous mistake. By open unfaithfulness to God and at the cost of compromises, it is impossible to build God’s work.

Unfaithfulness dooms the church to defeat…

In the history of the official ECB churches, prayers were offered during worship services for the kings who invaded the church and trampled it, shedding innocent blood, while they disowned the prisoners of Christ, did not pray for the persecuted faithful ministers, and with their blessings and servile obsequiousness to the persecutors, these ministers carried the axe behind the executioners, multiplying the sufferings of the Body of Christ.

On January 23, 1924, the Board of the Union of Baptists sent a letter to the Central Committee of the RCP(b):

On January 27, 1924, unusual services were held in the AUCEC congregations: “Today V.I. Lenin is being paid his last respects; he will be buried, and the earth will hide his body forever, and we, Evangelical Christians, must not remain indifferent to this event (…) we propose today… to honor his memory by STANDING, and also to offer a prayer to the Lord for the entire Russian people and for the government appointed by the Lord, that Almighty God may bless our dear homeland and put in the place of Comrade LENIN a worthy person, able to wisely govern the great Russian people…”

And when I.V. Stalin died in 1953, the political situation was again accompanied by church participation: “…AUCECB chairman Ya. I. Zhidkov delivered a brief address and offered a prayer. At the end of the prayer, all those present in the assembly stood and honored the memory of the Great Leader of the Soviet People, I.V. STALIN, with a minute of silence (…) After A.V. Karev’s speech, everyone knelt. M.A. Orlov and Ya.I. Zhidkov offered a prayer that the Lord would comfort the entire Soviet people in this sorrow and bless the New Government (…) A general hymn was sung: ‘Sad, heavy are the moments…’ In conclusion, Senior Presbyter M.A. Orlov offered a prayer for the Soviet country and Government. The platform and pulpit were draped in black velvet…”

Upon the history of the AUCECB lies the heavy burden of betrayal and collaboration with the KGB…

The award was given at a time when ministers of the Council of Churches were receiving repeated prison sentences without release.

Today, attempts are made to justify the path of the AUCECB, arguing that at the cost of concessions it supposedly preserved the churches. This is an openly sinful interpretation of history. Only the emergence of an awakened church in the years when the sword hung over all of God’s people extended the existence of the AUCECB and forced atheism to retreat forever from its program to “show the last believer in the country on television.”

“And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it” (Matt. 7:27).

We must still today remember the unfaithful, sinful steps of previous generations.

The most terrible thing is not that we were oppressed, but that the Lord left some. He could not abide in the heart of traitors who showed unfaithfulness to Him.

We must remember the paths on which the brotherhood walked in former years; examine them, condemn everything unworthy, everything sinful, and without fail correct it with repentance, so that the present generation will not attempt to walk an unfaithful path.

If it were possible to forget the paths traveled, to “cover mistakes with love,” as is commonly said today, then we would have to say: “Yes, there were documents such as the ‘New Statute of the AUCECB’ and the ‘Instructional Letter to Senior Presbyters of the AUCECB’ that killed life in the church.

Yes, these documents came from within the church ranks, and leading ministers of the center took part in drafting them—but all that is in the past…”

NOT FORGETFULNESS OF SINS, BUT REPENTANCE!!!

No, the Lord does not call us to forgetfulness of sins.

Everything sinful, vicious must find condemnation also among the present generation. At all levels we must examine the paths: the personal path, the church path, and the common brotherly path.

Having entered the difficult era of the 21st century, Protestants have no right to make yet another historical mistake by adopting as the supreme and indisputable law of their life the aggressively promoted and persistently imposed sinful view of the church’s place in this world.

The faithfulness to God demonstrated in the past by persecuted Christians kept atheists from using the tactics of repression.

The persecutors clearly realized: “You cannot overcome a living church with brute pressure. On the contrary—the church grew and gained new ground almost in direct proportion to the degree of pressure.” The faithfulness of born-again Christians to the Lord compelled the persecutors to acknowledge such an obvious truth.

Persecution is a habitual environment for Christians. Truly, “repressions will not help here.” Therefore, a decision was made to employ the tactic of internal disintegration of the church.

Dying in chains, in solitude, they remained faithful to God and prayed at the edge of the grave for the awakening of the church, that it might “free itself from the influence of outsiders,” that faithful shepherds might be found within her, who would lay down their lives for the sheep. They prayed and believed that through repentance the church would be cleansed from its sinful heritage. God placed the cries and groans of the martyrs in “golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints” (Rev. 5:8).
