Pogrom by Moscow Orthodox of the Adventist literature tent in Sevastopol, Ukraine
Destruction of the literature tent of the Adventist television channel “Nadiya” on June 24, 2012, in the Balaklava district of the city of Sevastopol, in the village of Orlyne, Crimea, Ukraine. The local Orthodox leader “Father” Vladimir of the “Church” of Sergius of Radonezh, together with his parishioners, orchestrated a pogrom of the Adventist literature tent. The crowd approached with chants and malicious grins. Some were in their underpants and staggering. The Orthodox hooligans blasphemously invoked, poured water over the books, and threatened in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They doused not only the books but also the Sabbath-keepers, which is a criminal act against the person and punishable. The Orthodox priest in expensive watches overturned the table with the books and commanded a youth to finish the job. The youth, as a religious ritual, wiped his feet on an Adventist newspaper and shook the dust of the humiliated Protestants from his trousers.
The demand of the “fathers” to the Adventists: “You must have permission from the Orthodox community.” In this way, the Moscow Orthodox in Sevastopol (and possibly in Ukraine) place themselves above the law, above the state, which alone performs regulatory functions; they set themselves above other confessions as favorites of the current government.
Another phrase of the pogromists: “One more time — and it will be worse!” — which is a direct threat!
How will the law enforcement agencies of Sevastopol, Crimea, and Ukraine react to the lawlessness of the Moscow Orthodox?
