A teaching sermon by presbyter Brother Dmitry Dyogtev on the question of baptism in the Holy Spirit with the sign of speaking in other tongues. Brother Dmitry related how the Lord, through examples from his own life, explained and confirmed to him that baptism in the Holy Spirit must indeed be accompanied by the sign of speaking in other tongues. Many Baptist and evangelical churches believe that baptism in the Holy Spirit can occur without speaking in other tongues, that a person receives the baptism in the Holy Spirit already at the moment of water baptism, but if we look at the Word of God, this is far from the case. The Book of the Acts of the Apostles tells us about this especially vividly.

Christ Himself said, ask and it will be given to you, and the Heavenly Father will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him; therefore, it is necessary to believe the Word of God, the words of the Lord Jesus Christ, and not human understandings. This is precisely what Brother Dmitry tells us in this sermon. Whoever sincerely loves the Lord must certainly heed these words, because the Gospel and the facts of life speak of this. Let this sermon serve as a confirmation to all who are already baptized in the Holy Spirit and become an instructive lesson for those who have not yet received this truth. Jesus said: “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life”; therefore, brother or sister, search and stand firmly on the Word of God.
