Moreover, you would never have raised a hand to distort the preaching about God. After all, the Apostle Paul says that he rejoices even at a pretended preaching. It is a pity that you have lived a long and eventful life and yet never came to know Christ and His grace. I forgive you everything, and may the Lord God—Jesus Christ—show mercy, reveal Himself to you, grant sincere repentance and eternal life. May God bless you and grant that we meet in eternity.”

And that is correct! I am no brother to you! A Judas and charlatan cannot, by definition, be a brother to me.

Wow!!! Now that’s a bombshell!!! This is quite an interesting revelation, or rather a confession. You’ve really slipped up now! What made you confess so candidly? So, after all, you did undergo special training at a KGB school! And where and when? Care to share? Go on, keep confessing! (Maybe this way you’ll even mature toward repentance.) I had long suspected that you were a career operative of the special organs. Although in Nakhodka I considered you just a plain informant under Major Rudnitsky, it turns out that’s not the case! Who else in Soviet times was allowed to travel abroad to “establish ties” with evangelicals? And to escort foreigners around churches. That had to be earned! That’s why you traveled unhindered all over the Union, and that could only be because a stout rope tied you to the KGB, to make your interests their own. Countless times I was rounded up as I went or traveled to meet foreigners — diplomats, correspondents, Christian activists from abroad who tried to maintain contact with us. Yes, I went and traveled to such meetings, not for bragging or curiosity, not in the hope of receiving some gift or bribe (by the way, just as you did, Slavik), but carrying documents I had prepared, analytically substantiated, showing that in the USSR there is no freedom of confession, that in the USSR there are facts of persecution, that in the USSR there are legislative acts giving the militia and the KGB, the prosecutor’s office and the courts the right to repress people for religious and human-rights activity. Yes, I tried to write good letters and appeals in defense of the arrested and to send these letters and appeals not only to the Soviet authorities but also abroad, and for them that was, oh, so unpleasant. Yes, I did a good job of substantiating believers’ right to leave the USSR, because I had a revelation from the Holy Spirit. And I underwent my “special training” in fasting and prayer, where the Holy Spirit instructed and taught me how to wage this battle! Therefore yes, I composed good, well-founded documents on every instance of repression! I regarded and still regard this as service to God and His people, and I knew that “cursed is he who does the work of God negligently.” So I wrote well and backed up the facts and proofs of the oppression of God’s people by the godless — those for whom you, Slavik, labored. For this, the Soviet authorities and people like you hated me fiercely and persecuted me, and here you continue to do harm and foul things, because I am a witness to your “feats” on the ideological front. Fighters of the invisible front! You are accustomed to thinking that since believers were not allowed to study in the USSR, by definition they should not be able to fight competently and expose the works of darkness — but no, Slavik, you were mistaken, because your god is power and money, your lot is to bow and grovel and “act like Diotrephes” (after that well-known excluder and obstructer in the New Testament church in the days of John the Apostle). So it never enters your head that there are those who serve God not for gain and do God’s work not for applause and money, who do God’s work by sacrificing themselves and their families. You cannot understand that there are those whom the Living God instructs and leads.
And the fact that I am practically destitute only confirms that I am on the right path, that I have exhausted myself both materially and physically, that I do not live for myself.
Let’s continue, next you utter:

So what’s the problem? Slavik! Repent—it is not I who forgives but God. You and those with you, whom you know, have committed Judas’s sin. So what’s the matter? Are you not used to repenting and being in a lowly place? Well, that’s all right: “God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble” …and forgiveness, by the way!
And further: God forbid the kind of “success” you have and had—in extracting money, ostensibly for God’s “work.” These “successes,” if you ever give thought to eternity, give you no rest. The millions you pocketed won’t be of any use in eternity, but the material goods are like fuel for a little bonfire you’ve prepared for yourself!
Let’s examine another one of your pearls:

Read again what you wrote! What meaning did you put into it, or is it a case of “whom God wishes to destroy, He first takes away their reason”? By your own words, you admit: I distorted your hypocritical sermon! (And hypocrisy is from the evil one.) But can a hypocritical sermon from the evil one be distorted? I didn’t force you to speak, Slavik; you just admitted yourself that your sermon is hypocritical. No, I do not rejoice when I see how skillfully you lie and twist the truth.
I know one thing: Cursed is he who does the Lord’s work negligently!
How can you, Slavik, do God’s work hypocritically? Oh, how you love that phrase. And you also love: “Listen to what they say, but do not do what they do.” That is just a balm for you, like a symphony. How deftly you have learned to apply that to yourself. You pass yourselves off as God’s servants, yet you count yourselves among those whom John the Baptist rebuked and called a brood of vipers… And now, with these out-of-context phrases you wholesale justify all your spiritual deformities.
Well, take the rest to yourself. Just cast a glance over your life—do you have any feats of faith, any joy of victories over the powers of darkness? Have you ever overcome yourself, your own weaknesses? No, you haven’t! The earthly has gained the upper hand over the heavenly in you, and that’s why you preach hypocritically—those sermons have led you onto the path of Judas and Diotrephes; you wanted fame and money, but you lacked the spirit for life in God and the narrow thorny way.
