Greetings to you, Brother Anatoly and Sister Sveta! Thank you for your attention! Your prayers, and those of many brothers and sisters, have been heard by God, and my health has taken a turn for the better. At last I am able to write. After surgery in May, I underwent chemotherapy for two months—August and September—and from mid-October they began radiation and chemo together, and this procedure is supposed to continue for another two months, since my cancer is in its final stage, and the treatment, as I was told, must be harsh and aggressive. For over a month I felt simply horrible, almost unable to walk. The immune system was nearly destroyed by these procedures, so the doctors were forced to temporarily halt treatment; they are now restoring me with daily IVs.
Furthermore, friends from Minnesota—Presbyter Friedrich and his blessed relatives, who work in medicine at a rather high level—sent me some very scarce medications to restore the immune system, and after that I am getting back on my feet “to the amazement of many,” literally before their eyes—glory to God and to His people. So I am relatively on my feet. Although now they have started “tormenting” me again, they have, for now, canceled the chemo and are only doing radiation. This treatment will continue until December sixteenth, then another examination, and perhaps they will switch to a gentler method. The doctors say the treatment is going successfully. But the most important thing is that they take a blood test every week and, to the doctors’ surprise so far, the test shows that my blood is as if there had been no chemo or radiation at all. They say this does not happen—that usually in such cases blood is poor and many people receive blood transfusions. I lost weight after the surgery—fifty-five pounds—and after chemo and radiation I should have continued losing weight, but my weight has remained stable—this does not happen! I explained to them that many people are praying for me; the attending physician, after thinking, declared: “Well then, that means one of those praying for you is a saint.” The doctors have stated this several times already and promise that by spring I will be fully on my feet. Thank you again!
Actually, I never intended to ask anyone for help—I am not used to it. I have always helped everyone myself—first I fought for truth and freedom of faith, for the right of God’s oppressed people to leave the USSR, then I helped people in the matter of relocating to the USA, and again I did everything possible to ease the situation of God’s people wherever they are persecuted for the Name of the Lord, and again, as always, spending what I had—resources and health. But I do not regret it at all.
You can easily imagine: while working for the liberation of the people, I spent my own money on travels all over the USSR to acquaint myself with the situation on the ground and to convey this information abroad, because the godless authorities took it very painfully when their evil deeds became known in the world. The Soviet regime, in the person of the KGB, feared this and used every lever to stop us: to isolate us, to deprive us of help and support from the people. “It was an open war against God and His followers, and in war as in war—there are heroes, and there are traitors. And the nerve of any war is finances! So, through traitors we were deprived of support from the very people for whom this mortally dangerous work was carried out by us with God’s help.” Subversive work against the church and against us and you was actively carried out, and this was done by the godless authorities through their own people and “ministers” in the churches! “And who are these ‘ministers’? Judge for yourselves—by their deeds, not by their words!” Everything I did and continue to do for God and for His people, as always, has been in isolation, thanks to those same “ministers” who stood rock-solid for the Soviet authorities and did everything in their power to prevent God’s people from gaining freedom and peace.
And these very “ministers,” thanks to our labor, smoothly and without a twinge of conscience moved to the USA to lead God’s people! They are greatly indignant at me because I did not join them in their cringing posture before the godless atheistic regime, because I did not lie like them, declaring abroad and among God’s people that the atheistic, Soviet regime had given us complete freedom. They are indignant at me because I stood upright and spoke what was true, overcoming fear and enduring deprivations for the Word of God and for the word of truth, in defense of the Church and God’s oppressed people in the USSR.
Was it really possible that, after all the horrors of KGB dungeons endured for Christ’s sake, I would barter for earthly fame and position, for material, temporary benefits?! Therefore, I try to live as the apostles did, and that is why I have no house of my own and no savings. My treasure is not here.
God told me, through a prophecy, that my illness is a test of the people. And the most interesting thing is that, fortunately, not all pastors have proved so heartless as to deprive me of support. All this would be laughable, were it not so sad.

Boris! I recently attended a jubilee meeting dedicated to the twentieth anniversary of the exodus from the USSR. I was surprised that you were not there. Is a meeting or event with your participation planned in Portland or Vancouver in the near future?

B.P. Greetings, Dmitry!
Yes, I heard about that event. Now you can imagine the moral character of the organizers. Not one of those who organized the exodus and suffered from the godless regime was invited or allowed near the microphone. When I heard about this event from my mother, who herself learned about it from an advertisement, I immediately called Vasily Shiliuk—who also participated in organizing the exodus and was sentenced to three years in a concentration camp for it. Brother Vasily was very surprised that none of the organizers of the exodus had heard a thing about it.
We were amazed that history is being intensely falsified and reshaped by those who did everything possible—merging in ecstasy with the Soviet atheist regime—to prevent this exodus from happening. They even falsified the starting point of the exodus by a year later. This is not an assumption, but a fact—a year ago, the U.S. Congress congratulated us on the twentieth anniversary of the exodus. So who knows better? Lawmakers or falsifiers? And it was these very lawmakers from the U.S. Congress who, in 1988, after my report to Congress, voted for an amendment to the refugee law—to legalize the status of religious refugees for Protestants from the USSR.
But I was even more struck when the main speakers and honored guests were those who stood rock-solid for Soviet power and were fierce opponents of our exodus. Those organizing this so-called “anniversary” are primarily concerned about their own rather unsavory Soviet past, and to that end they are rewriting history and carefully wiping out and isolating from the people the likes of me.
My mother called one of the organizers of the pseudo-anniversary, Pyotr Tishchenko, with the question: who from among those who organized the exodus will be there?
To which Pyotr replied: Sister, we are not planning to glorify man, but God, who organized all this.
Mother: But God does everything through man, and the people should know how it all happened!
Pyotr: Sister, who are you? You’re asking some suspicious questions.
Mother: What suspicious questions? It was God’s war, there were victims, there were heroes—this is a history of feats and God’s victory!
Pyotr: Ahhhh! I understand where you’re steering; next you’ll say—there were opponents and all that. No, we will not allow enmity, and you’re wasting my time with your nonsense!
That’s how Petya Tishchenko spoke with a prisoner—my mother was tried three times! According to Petya’s words, the history of the exodus is nonsense!
As for events! God willing, I’ll get back on my feet completely, and then with God’s help we’ll organize the twenty-second anniversary of the exodus next year, 2010—in Portland or in Vancouver.

Which Russian-speaking churches in the USA do you cooperate with?

B.P. Greetings, Alexei! I cooperate with the former unregistered Brotherhood—the senior bishop Arkady Dudarev. There are also other churches from other brotherhoods and unions—they are not many. I don’t want to name them, since many of them cooperate with me like Nicodemus—secretly.
Only Nicodemus feared the Israelite priesthood, but those who keep contact with me are in fear and dread of Pyotr Saenko, Viktor Lebed, Viktor Limonchenko, Slavik Radchuk, and most of all Adam—Lyonya Bondaruk, and there are some others of smaller scale and caliber among the ill-wishers, and as a rule—these are those who have something to hide and fear the exposure of their “heroic” past in the field of collaboration with the godless and persecutors of the people.

Boris, how do you see the future of the church in the USA? What must we do to fulfill our service to the Lord? Will the exodus from the countries of the former USSR continue?

B.P. I’ll begin with the exodus: it continues, though that river has turned into a small trickle, “thanks” to the pastor-chekists. Besides, our exodus today does not fulfill the purpose for which the Lord organized it through us. Unfortunately, we have not justified the trust of the American government, as a persecuted church, nor what we promised the Christian world and what they expected of us. “Thanks” to the calculated, coordinated work of the usurper pastor-chekists, what we ourselves once desired while laboring in this mortally dangerous field did not come to pass.

Mobilized by the red commissioners for religious affairs, the pastor-chekists blocked every path for us, aggressively seizing power in the churches by seducing the simple-hearted; all ways were closed to us. And also by those who, with slavish obsequiousness, blindly followed the false shepherds—those who allowed themselves to be controlled not by God but by seducers, silencing their own voice of conscience and truth, contrary to the precepts of the Gospel.

We did what the Lord placed upon us. Our work, and in particular my work—that is you in America and the relative freedom in the former USSR. But then we relaxed! Freedom! The usurper pastor-chekists immediately took advantage of this—those who fought alongside the Soviets against you and me. The result: they have largely ridden the churches and fellowships into the saddle. And what the Lord placed upon us—to bring a fresh, pure stream into world Christianity—sadly did not happen. The pastor-chekists never knew the will of our Lord for our exodus, but they well learned the will of their master—to head the people and to destroy God’s work. To do God’s will, one must be close to God, and closeness to God is achieved by keeping His word and, if necessary, by suffering for His name.

Our Lord suffered, the apostles suffered, but who among those now in church authority here in the United States has suffered? Perhaps from obesity, or from how to use church money for themselves with greater profit. The pastor-chekists have succeeded in causing extreme charismania to flood not only the churches here in America, but also to cover the former USSR with a lush flowering of evangelical perversions. Simony and theft of church money flourish, blooming in all the colors of the rainbow. The dollars collected for “God’s work” are working against God’s work. With this money they organize the funeral of our Christian experience, gained at a high price in places where Satan’s throne was. To fight them is only to waste precious time. We must come out from these societies and consolidate, form healthy churches and not let these religious rogues and oprichniki come near. Isolate them as dangerous carriers of a deadly virus.

Know that by sponsoring the enemies of God’s work, you become accomplices. Yes, they are mostly smooth-talkers and very good actors. Do not be deceived! They have shown themselves clearly enough, even judging by my own case alone. I was not their enemy. Had I wished them harm, not one of them would be in America now. But I did not do that. And how do they repay me? With fierce hatred. It is written: “Love your enemies…” and so on, you know this. They teach this in your churches, but how do they themselves act? I, it turns out, am not to them in the evangelical sense; I am outside the law. It is permissible, even necessary, not only to wish me dead, but to do everything to make it happen, and as soon as possible. But the exodus will yet come!

Thank you for your wish that I receive abundant God’s blessings and a speedy recovery!
Books are currently not sold anywhere except in electronic form. I have already published four editions—three in Russian and one in English—and all have sold out. Perhaps somewhere without my knowledge copies were printed, as has happened more than once. I am not against coming to an agreement; if any publishing house decides to publish my book, let them contact me. By spring, I plan to republish “Fiery Paths” and to release the second part, a continuation.

Brother Boris, what would you say, as a minister of Jesus Christ, to those who repented in charismatic churches? Many people notice a discrepancy with the teaching of the New Testament. What should they do if they also cannot be in Pentecostal churches where corruption and favoritism of another kind flourish and, according to your testimony, the pastors were involved in working for the godless authorities?

B.P. Greetings, Oksana! I understand the difficulty of your situation, and not only yours. I have already written on this subject and I want to repeat personally for you my view on this problem. Direct questions to [email protected] or [email protected]

The Church, Modernity, and Us!

What tasks does God set before us today.
The world is steadily, step by step, taking revenge on today’s church for past devastating defeats. And before an irreversible process of degradation sets in, while there is still time, a process of renewal, revival, is necessary.
Revival of the church! This has always been and remains missionary service. Revival without trust in the church is inconceivable! All disappointments in relation to the church stem from a loss of trust in the governing church elite, who are not free from earthly vices.
Why does the church lose trust and influence today?
Because the church’s authority is unable to reflect in itself what it preaches – that is, Christ! As a result, the modern church does not go into the world and change the world; rather, the world comes into the church and adapts it to itself – so much so that it is already hard to mark the boundary between what is the world and what is the church!

I won’t now present proofs and arguments, even though there are so many one could write a book! But I will outline the main criteria and the range of the crisis.
First. (So-called “Traditionalists”)
This is a deformed and frozen church. It has the form of a set of traditions and rituals – and… this is passed off as the Gospel teaching?! As a rule, ritualism and traditions never lead to the solving of the spiritual tasks set before the church, but reduce the church to the level of an ordinary public organization!
Such a church is far from its true purpose — to be salt, and not lose its strength, to preserve the surrounding environment from decay and corruption. In churches that have lost their strength, Holiness is replaced by hypocrisy, sanctimony, Jesuitical ostentatious humility, which can turn into outright rudeness under the guise of struggling for the purity of the church, while in reality it is a struggle for human traditions and local church “culture”. Such churches, as a rule, do not possess apostolic attractiveness and simplicity, but are politicized in their own way and founded on clans and a strict mafia-like hierarchy. There is no influx of people from the world into such a church; parishioners attend out of tradition. In such an atmosphere, conformism flourishes, the sense of reverence for the church, for faith, for service evaporates. Responsibility before God, conscience, family, people, and the state is dulled!
Second. (So-called “Charismatics”)
This is, as it were, the opposite point on the range — the antipode. This is the leveling of the church to the world. Such a church is adapted by the world. And it does not prevent the world from carrying out an aggressive, deforming invasion of the church. Anti-cultural manifestations are encouraged, in order to please the worldly lusts of this age. The Word of God is vulgarly adapted to this ideology. In such churches, as a rule, there are many new parishioners and, at the same time, high turnover.
The “pastors” of churches adapted by the world are personalities without complexes, assertive and aggressive. Dilettantism in the spiritual realm is easily compensated for by oratorical, artistic, and organizational abilities. Success grows in them into leader-worship and confidence in their own exceptionalism. But these are falsifiers, rogues from an adapted religion! What they have, they give. The religion adapted by the world, in the person of its pastors, has invented and perfected measures of spiritual influence on the individual, by means of isolation and disconnecting the mind from participating in the assessment and control of one’s emotional expressions; this brings parishioners into the state of an adept, zombified “under” and “for” the pastor-shaman of the modern formation.
A spiritual drug, a surrogate for emotions, blasphemy, and lawlessness! With a steady hand, skillfully packaged and stamped with biblical slogans, and shamelessly presented as actions and gifts of the “Holy Spirit”. During such sessions, some problems of the adepts are “solved”, while in reality they are anesthetized, put to sleep by the spiritual drug, which creates the appearance of a militant character of the church in the world for the salvation of souls. Under this, human problems are cunningly adapted to the modern age. But behind all this, as time has shown, stands the pastor’s own ego! Phil. 2:21. Their ultimate goal is to turn the parishioner’s pocket inside out. Money! Money! Money! God is Almighty! God is Omnipresent! God can do everything! He heals! He sets right! He takes all your problems upon Himself! Yet, with money, He always has an eternal problem. And… it is cleverly suggested to exchange the material for the spiritual! During this, miracles occur — people give even what they do not have! They get into debt, take out loans. And this has become a science, instead of theology, for the servant-businessmen of the modern religion adapted by the world. Under the influence of the spiritual drug, the parishioner becomes an adept and quickly parts with money and personal time. But when a person-adept emerges from this lethargy, as a rule, they go to no church at all and no longer believe in anything! Their responsibility is dulled, followed by disappointment, depression, spiritual downfall. For the servant-businessmen, this is no trouble! Others will come. For this, a new lure is constantly invented and applied.
Without exaggeration, we can say that we have now returned to the condition of the first missionaries, making contact with people. People in need of support, of protection, people who have gotten lost in the labyrinth of contradictions of real life and unjustified hopes — promises made by modern spiritual guides, sellers of air, and even worse, of spiritual surrogates. And how can one not get lost, not go astray, not be disappointed?
The gospel of Christ, the teaching and instruction of the apostles — was confirmed by their life, by their deeds: serving God through serving people! Selflessness, moderation, self-sacrifice, lack of love of money, evident guidance by the Holy Spirit.
So, what is to be done? How should we be? Has the salt really lost its strength? No! And again, no! Let us begin revival with ourselves, through genuine consecration. God has led us, spoken to us, governed us. Before our eyes He has worked miracles; we have seen the Glory of God and the genuine manifestation of the Holy Spirit! Our silence and inaction is false humility! It is capitulation before the spirit of modern seduction, which engenders a loss of trust in the church. Who can and must take upon themselves the weight of responsibility in this difficult time? Of course, it should be — it must be — those who have walked the path of testing and have been tested. Those who have gained proper experience in deprivations, in struggle, in humiliation, in humility. To whom can God entrust His work? Those whom He has led through the valley of abasement, in the trial stripped of their “I”! The revival of and trust in the church depend on our genuine missionary spirit, i.e. the aspiration to seek access to people’s hearts in order to draw them to our Lord Jesus Christ, to justify their expectations and hopes. But to become heralds and warriors of the Living God in the modern world, it is necessary that the flame of the true ideal of Christ’s disciples and apostles burns brightly and powerfully within us.

Greetings! Slavik Radchuk participated in a Holy Spirit conference in November in Tallinn. The next day he preached in our church, many came forward… How should we regard this? The information that is known to such wide circles gives me no peace. I don’t think that no one in Tallinn knows about this… Blessings and thank you!

B.P. Greetings, Elvira!
Radchuk is a very experienced man, well-versed in religious matters; he lives off it, it’s his business. Moreover, he has undergone very serious training. An important detail: after Slavik was exposed for collaborating with the head of the Fifth Directorate of the KGB in Nakhodka, he was not at all embarrassed, but merely changed his place of residence for a while. I advise you to listen once more to the witnesses, by the way, both are ministers and both former prisoners, so whom to believe?
Moreover, Radchuk regularly lies brazenly and shamelessly. For example, the Holy Spirit taught him to speak English. But to this day Slavik speaks broken English like “me no understand,” and that after his “god”—I mean Radchuk’s god—“taught” him to speak English. For two years Radchuk took an interpreter, Vladimir Bagrin, with him to churches, so Radchuk’s god is weak!
Or another, a masterpiece of Radchuk’s lies: he claims to Americans that in the dark Soviet times he, that is Radchuk, (brace yourself) opened a thousand churches in the USSR! How ridiculous! In the whole Union there weren’t a thousand Pentecostal churches all together. So lies are the main weapon of rogues and enemies of God’s work. And the level and degree of lying depends on the situation—on the order and the income it brings.
I remember when a delegation from the AUCECB (everyone now knows it was a KGB branch) met with foreign religious figures, they were delighted with them—what spiritual and gifted brothers! But these “brothers” were career employees of the godless!
Here’s an example for you. In 1980, the well-known and much respected Billy Graham came to Moscow to acquaint himself with the situation regarding the persecution of believers and to intercede on our behalf. Just imagine, he did not discuss this problem with members of the Politburo, but was met by members of the AUCECB; they accompanied him and answered all his questions. When reality and facts were not just speaking but shouting that thousands of believers were languishing in concentration camps, myself included, Billy Graham declared to the whole world that there was complete freedom of religion in the USSR! Such freedom that you wouldn’t find such freedom everywhere in the West!
If they could so easily impose their will, lead by the nose, and mislead such spiritual men of faith as Billy Graham back then, you can easily imagine the level of their school. They easily deceive simple and inexperienced people, without a second thought, just casually!
If they can distort obvious and crying facts beyond recognition, then such a trifle as your conference is all the more.
I’ll give you another fact that I myself witnessed. In 1978, I and another minister, Vladimir Stepanov, received summons to appear for interrogation at the regional KGB office. We decided: if we don’t go, they’ll take us in handcuffs and keep us in a cell for ten days. We went. They led us into some office and said, “Wait.” We waited, looking around the office. It looked like a room for consultations and meetings. A huge table, around it not chairs, but armchairs. Along the wall were chairs on which we were seated. In the same room, in an armchair not far from us, sits a wretched-looking man, and… reads the Bible. We exchanged glances with Vladimir and whispered to each other: “Probably he, like us, was summoned.” “But how did he manage to bring a Bible in here?—What a daredevil, what nerves!” Then this man turns to us and says: “Brothers, while we wait, let’s have a talk.” What talk, we think. We might go from here straight to the bunks, and he wants to talk! We kept silent, glancing at the clock. And suddenly, this man transformed before our eyes—straightened up in the armchair, then stood up and burst out laughing: “Why are you looking at the clock and the door? I summoned you, I am Colonel Yubko, head of the Fifth Directorate. So, surprised? I fooled you for five years, well not you personally, but you believers—Pentecostals; I pastored you Pentecostals for five years in the Donetsk region! Want me to pray in the Spirit?” And he started blaspheming! So realistically! “Want me to prophesy to you?” He launched into prophecies even more realistically. Rolls his eyes in tenderness, raises his hands, fell to his knees, bowing between pauses, we even got goosebumps, everything was painfully real. Then he abruptly stood up and says: “Well? How am I, haven’t forgotten my skill, am I still fit? You blockheads, believers, thick-headed. Fooling you is simply not even interesting, but what prophecies I used to get from your prophets! Well, I am an angel in the flesh, only without wings! And some in a vision even saw wings on me! Hilarious, but I couldn’t laugh. What a show! I’d come home and tell my wife, we’d laugh our heads off. And of course, we couldn’t do without our prophets in church. I became a pastor like this—our prophets helped, and then it went like clockwork!”
That’s how it is, Elvira. Sad but true! Who at your conference had the gift of discerning spirits? Usually, people with a genuine gift are not allowed at such show-conferences; they are carefully isolated. But rogues now have the road open everywhere and are guaranteed honor.
We also know from Paul’s inspired words to the saints in Galatia, that “the fruit … of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,” but with Radchuk and his ilk it’s “give me money.” Money, applause, honor, and cheap fame. And moreover, before foreigners, Radchuk lies even more shamelessly, passing himself off as a prisoner! And he tells such fables that he could probably outdo Colonel Yubko hands down. But what do you expect?! Yubko only pastored for five years in the Donetsk region, but Radchuk has been practicing in this field for decades.
But note, his sermons lack meaning and serious themes, only his false “exploits,” stories, slogans, and cries. And if there is a theme, again, it’s not his own, but stolen from somewhere. And the apostle Paul warned of these days: “…For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.” (2 Timothy 4:3-4).
“…If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” (Gal. 5:22-23, 25).
And by which spirit does Radchuk live? By the spirit of Judas and the spirit of Mammon! This spirit in Radchuk is evident. These are twin spirits, always present together. From love of money to betrayal is just one step! Add to this also the spirit of deception. Many people who attended Radchuk’s performances later wonder: “Radchuk didn’t say anything wise or even sensible, but he cleaned out our pockets. How so, we don’t understand. What a talent, though!”
How our Savior Christ lived: “…The birds have nests, the foxes have holes, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.” How the apostles lived, and how Radchuk lives—that’s the whole answer! The greatest passion of the traitor Judas was love of wealth—love of money.

The refusal was expressed in silence, in ignoring. But not by everyone, because I didn’t send it to everyone, only selectively, so as not to spoil my health and not to spend the already scarce funds. I didn’t insist; it’s not for me to insist and run after them, but they themselves should seek an opportunity to help the people wherever and however possible. By virtue of their activity, they were obliged to know that hearings were taking place in Congress. Such events happen not only not every day, but not even every year. We didn’t come here to eat sausage, and we were not received as those who lived well and freely and came to live even better. We were received as traditionally persecuted confessions. And what will someone who was persecuted and experienced persecution and discrimination on his own skin do? Right, help others avoid persecution. For example, the Jews in the same Russia are first in business, and they do not lag behind in politics and do not forget the mass media, and at the same time they fight against anti-Semitism, not weakening as in the dense Soviet times. Although, from a human perspective, what anti-Semitism when Jews seem to be prospering? That is precisely why they will prosper, because they care for their neighbor. Once burned by water, they blow on milk. Hence the success, nothing to say. It is not for nothing — the chosen people.
I had to speak on this topic through Sasha Shans with Viktor Lebed from the whole pastoral team. So he rudely snapped, not only refused to read the documents, but didn’t even want to take them in his hands. And brazenly declared: “We have everything under control, we know the situation without you, and don’t meddle in this matter! We have contact with all bishops, we’ll manage without you!”
Is that for the Congress not to meddle? If such an answer were known to the U.S. government conducting hearings on numerous complaints from Russia. Imagine, hearings on Russia are taking place in Congress — witnesses, speakers are testifying, burned churches and a blown-up Baptist prayer house on the eve of the congress(!) are shown, there is a listing of persecuted pastors from unregistered churches, closed churches. They discuss how to improve the situation for Protestants. And Congress decides to prepare a resolution and vote on its adoption to make Russia understand that not everything is rosy with religious freedom. By this resolution, to point out these problems to Russia, i.e., to eradicate discrimination and persecution, to equalize Protestants in rights with traditional religions. What will a pastor do when he hears about this, especially if he himself was persecuted? He will support it with all his might morally and in any way he can. He will declare that we must be the first to stand in this breach! And what does the pseudo-pastor Viktor Lebed say?
It would be interesting to write about this and publish it in the American press, presenting it against the backdrop of the topic under discussion! I think from Lebed, he would turn into a Crow. At the very least, his refugee status would be quickly stripped, with all the ensuing consequences. Well, in general, Lebed turned out to be an outright LOUT!!!

Greetings to you, Yevgeny! Thank you for the letter! I am answering the questions and complaints you have raised. It is difficult for you to judge us righteously, you who did not take part in that merciless and tragic battle for God’s cause against the godless atheistic power in the USSR.
War is war. There are victories, there are heroes, and there are also the opposite. Since my youth, I was distressed by the situation among Pentecostals:

why was there no organizing and serious spiritual body?
why are we Pentecostals disunited and intimidated?
why does no one really know the so-called bishops and they are nowhere to be seen, while collections are constantly being taken up for the needs of the Kiev Brotherhood? And if no one does anything, then why these collections and for what?
why does no one do anything to help and defend the persecuted?
why do we, the so-called people of God, not know our own prisoners. How many are there, where is each sitting, what are their families like, how can we help them in that situation?
if there is a Brotherhood, then why do the congregations each survive as best they can?
why must we silently watch as the churches are tormented and not express our disagreement, our protest to the godless! And the majority remains silent, which means they agree, they support, they become accomplices.
And was it worth it for Pentecostals to suffer in their souls and humble themselves where that humility, in essence, equals a crime! After all, it’s no secret that Baptists and Adventists published the Bible and other religious literature. (We were afraid to even think about it. And at whose prompting?)
The Baptists had an organizing body like the Council of Churches, the Council of Prisoners’ Relatives, where each prisoner was well-known and visible and naturally had prayer, moral, and material support. He was not abandoned to the mercy of fate as among the Pentecostals. And among us, it got to the point that praying for prisoners was forbidden, lest it become even worse. Much was a “why” for me. We, unknown to anyone and at that time holding no spiritual titles, but burning with love for God and His people, stood up and said not to man, but to the Lord: “Here am I, send me…”
What should the leaders among the people have done in such a case? And what did they do? And it is here that they showed themselves and suddenly stopped “being afraid.” They began to come out openly to the people, but not to support us, but to declare a struggle against us together with the godless, so that the people would remain more firmly in godless chains! It was a paradox, explicable by nothing except that a single “team” was playing toward one goal!
When I was released after my second term, our Far Eastern bishop Pavel Fedyanin came to visit me. After our long conversation in the forest, so there would be no “ears,” he told me: “Brother Boris, I am with you, I am on your side, but if I support you openly, Viktor Ivanovich will excommunicate me! I came to talk to you at the request of Viktor Ivanovich, and his order concerning you was to remove you from ministry and excommunicate you as a rebel. ‘…Disobedient to authorities — disobedient to God.’ I have a conscience and a concept of duty to the people. You are doing what, generally speaking, we should be doing. But apparently God has placed you in this arena, as success is obvious: they stopped imprisoning us, and the authorities began to reckon with us, afraid that we would support you! Actually, I do not understand Viktor Ivanovich in this matter! If not to support you, then to condemn you is a crime before God! So if he needs to excommunicate you, let him do it with his own hands, and not someone else’s.”
Viktor Ivanovich came to the camp to see Viktor Valter where he was serving a five-year sentence as a presbyter who refused to cooperate with the godless, and what did Belykh come to him with? Why did this meeting happen? Valter was not even given a visit with his wife! All because Belykh was carrying out the will of the godless atheistic power; he was supposed to persuade Valter to renounce keeping the commandments, to renounce the struggle against godless registration and the struggle for the right to leave! I described this in the book, his visit to Chuguyevka with the same matter, as well as to Nakhodka. That is how Viktor Ivanovich “defended” God’s people and “supported” the prisoners, and you reproach me for covering with slander a wonderful man of God, a laborer in God’s field. And note! Why was Ivan Petrovich Fedotov imprisoned endlessly, including at the time when Belykh was engaged in such “feats”? Why did other brothers, including myself, sit and perish in concentration camps, while Belykh — a “wonderful” man of God, a “laborer,” was used by the authorities for their own purposes against God’s people. At that time, he freely traveled all over the Union and said that he had a revelation that leaving was a sin! And why was it not revealed to him as it was to us that the USSR would collapse, that there would be wars, disasters, and famine? Why did he send his own children in the first wave of exodus, but for others it is a sin?
So, Viktor Ivanovich, the “wonderful” man of God, openly, without shame, was in harness with the authorities at that time. With God’s help, we won this war, and you and many others have the freedom to labor for the glory of God. Why is everything so distorted among you? Who tried so hard to distort history? You cannot deceive God and time!
Trust not words, Yevgeny, but deeds. How could you stand against the Soviets, when your scoundrel Slavik Radchuk will soon be the head of the whole brotherhood, just give it time.

Question: What are you, a serious, God‑devoted person, doing among the Charismatics, with their dances, shouts, “angel feathers” during services? I went through that myself and am surprised you are there now. With respect to you.

B.P. Vera, peace be with you! You have inaccurate information. I have never been a member of any Transformation churches! Yes, I visited this church! I was interested in the temporary phenomenon of this movement – how, in two years, could this community grow from six parishioners to four hundred?! This movement intended to cover not only Seattle, but the entire state of Washington, and then all of America, so powerfully things were going. That is one of the main reasons for my attention to this movement. One could say, academic attention. But in practice, all this turned out to be a banal offshoot of extreme Charismania, plus the extraordinary oratorical skills and artistic talents of Andrey Shapovalov.

Well, regarding the “angels” that currently visit Transformation and other charismatics, that is already complete madness – it means charismania is exhausting itself, and on a larger scale this is a serious spiritual and moral crisis. If “angels” during molting “visit” Transformation and “lose feathers,” it turns out angels also have a season for “renewing feathers.” But actually, this is no joke. These tricks with feathers pumped through the ventilation system, gold, diamonds, “angel’s oil,” and many other things, were not practiced in my presence; that was Andrey going all out without me. I heard about that later; one has to somehow keep the fleeing crowd. For that reason, various spectacles with tricks are organized.

As an outside observer of this movement, I saw positive aspects in that it helped hopelessly lost people who came to this church, and at the same time, spiritual dislocations. The most interesting thing is that none of the pastors provided any basis for their negativity toward this phenomenon. And such churches are a dime a dozen now, take that same Viktor Lebed.

After studying the so‑called Transformation, I wrote a brief analysis, where in my answers I already outlined my attitude to this topic.
