France Officially Announces the Start of Persecution Against Christians

The reasons for this are obvious — Christianity, according to the EU leadership, poses a threat to the ideals of European integration, as it contradicts the new “European values,” such as same-sex “marriage” or the system of total control.

Under the banners of tolerance and political correctness, predominantly white Christians are systematically being pushed out of all spheres of public life — from schools, the military, penitentiary institutions, and government bodies. From the streets of European cities, efforts are made to remove Christmas trees, which supposedly offend the feelings of Jews and Muslims. In many EU countries, religious processions have been banned. For example, in Dresden, even a procession in memory of the victims of the barbaric bombings that wiped the city off the face of the earth in 1945 was not allowed.

But that’s not all: Christians are continually vilified in the media, accused of all kinds of sins, fanaticism, and obscurantism. Anti-Christian advertisements are put up in European cities.
But events a month ago in France, when mass protests against same-sex “marriage” and the removal of the concepts of “father” and “mother” from official documents swept the country, showed that, despite all the efforts of the “European integrationists,” Christian values still play a significant role for the French.

And now the French authorities have announced that they intend to disband religious communities “whose members show signs of fanaticism,” in particular traditionalist Catholics. The media report that the police have now been tasked with identifying “clerics who pose a potential threat to the country’s security”

Of course, many wonder what kind of threat to national security traditionalist Catholics could possibly pose, given that they are law-abiding citizens, duly paying taxes, rendering “unto Caesar what is Caesar’s,” and patriotically minded.

To convince the public of the danger of Christians, television repeatedly shows a clip in which half-naked Ukrainian exhibitionists from “Femen,” covered in blasphemous obscene slogans and wearing headdresses of Catholic nuns, tried to block the path of a protest march, shouting swear-word chants offensive to Christians. Then young men from the Catholic group Civitas drove off the provocateurs, and now this is presented as proof of the aggressiveness of Christians and their threat to public safety.

However, this stretch is too obvious, so the authorities claim that the planned repressions will be directed not only against Christians but against all “religious extremists,” in particular Salafists. It was announced that the French authorities intend to deport radical imams who are immigrants.

At a press conference the day before, French Interior Minister Manuel Valls stated that these measures were prompted by the rise of radical Islamism and, in particular, the bloody massacre carried out in March of this year by the “Toulouse shooter” Mohammed Merah, whose victims included 4 Jews and 3 soldiers.

However, no observer doubts that this is nothing more than a pretext, especially since the statement came just two days after President François Hollande announced the creation of a special agency to monitor the separation of church and state in France — a kind of analogue of the Soviet Council for Religious Affairs, headed by “Yaroslavsky”-Guberman.

Moreover, Manuel Valls specifically emphasized that these measures will be applied not only to Salafist Muslims but also to groups like Civitas and the Society of St. Pius X, which unites traditionalist Catholics who do not recognize the decisions of the Second Vatican Council.

There is no doubt that the entire fight against Salafists will end with the deportation of a few of the most rabid preachers. Any more serious steps, even if someone were to try them, will provoke a harsh response from the EU and will be immediately blocked.

Christians are a different matter. It is obvious that a long-term and carefully thought-out campaign is unfolding to completely push out of public life those who want to be followers of Christ not only in name but in deed, and to live according to God’s commandments and their own conscience. Legal persecution, real persecution, is beginning against them; they will be driven underground. As an alternative, they are presented with “sane” and “reasonable” “Christians” who marry homosexuals and are ready to do whatever the authorities demand—the European integrationists, or the Anti-Defamation League.
