Today Ivan Petrovich Fedotov passed into eternity
Last night, the presiding bishop of the Union of Christians of Evangelical Faith (OЦХВЕ) of Russia, the CIS, and the Baltic states, Ivan Petrovich Fedotov, passed away. He was my friend and fellow laborer.

Ivan Fedotov was the only bishop one could trust, which set him apart from the multitude of bishops. He was the only bishop who took an interest in the lives of prisoners’ families.
He was the only bishop who was imprisoned even after the mass imprisonment of ministers in the 1960s.
This minister ordained me as a presbyter. He blessed my departure to the USA and gave me the right to ordain presbyters in America.
Together with the senior presbyters of the Bryansk region, Nikolai Kostyany and Gennady Shafurin, Ivan Fedotov traveled to the Bryansk region, to the district center of Komarichi, on the evening of August 17, 2011, at 6 p.m., to use his authority to settle church disputes. Ivan Fedotov had been in a pre-infarction state for about a week. His personal physician was not with him. Ivan Fedotov became very unwell. The emergency room was unable to provide proper help. He called his wife Valentina Borisovna in Maloyaroslavets, where Bishop Vladimir Murashkin was with her, and told her that they would probably see each other only in eternity. On the evening of August 18, at around 6 p.m. Moscow time, he departed into eternity.
The funeral will take place on the 9th day, so that all who wish may have time to arrive.
