In the United States of America, persecution for love of the Bible has begun!
“Woman in a T‑shirt reading ‘Vote for the Bible’ turned away from a US polling station”
A resident of the American state of Texas, who early last week came to vote at a polling station near Austin, suffered on account of her T‑shirt, which read “Vote for the Bible.”
According to CBN News, workers at the Taylor Municipality polling station in Williamson County told the arriving voter Kay Hill that the message on her T‑shirt was “offensive.” She was advised either to turn the shirt inside out, to go home and change, or to cover up the words “Vote for the Bible.”
The woman tried to object, but in the end was forced to cover the message.
“It is outrageous for a person of faith to be treated this way. If this is not voter intimidation, then I don’t know what is. No one should have to endure the insult, inconvenience and intimidation that Mrs. Hill experienced. No one should be required to curtail their religious freedom in order to vote,” said Texas Values president Jonathan Saenz.
